I would have reversed the fit out with the fridge on the left. It would drive me mad not being able to fully open the fridge door etc. Otherwise, modify the metal that obstructs the door. Surely there’s a fridge that would be a better fit. Cheers.

This is the fridge this customer had - positioned as he wanted it and he was happy with the opening. There's not many fridge options that are narrower than this one, and having the fridge on the LHS wouldn't make much difference I don't think. if another customer has a different fridge and wants it in a different position - and it will work - then we can build that. We will build whats needed...just as long as we are confident it will work...

i know the customer is always right, but in relation to the upright fridge, I failed to see what are the benefits which outweight the disadvantage not being open fully and not being able to access it while doors are closed. - someone please enlighten me - otherwise keep up the good work

This is just what this particular customer asked for. He was aware the door wouldn't open fully. He asked for the fridge to be positioned as it was with the door opening at the rear. I get asked about using a bar fridge in this Drifta system more and more, so its good to have done one and this demo video shows some of the advantages and disadvantages. Bar fridges are becoming more and more popular, so for lots of people this design is a winner...but its not for everyone as we all have different expectations/requirements.

Why didn't you put the fridge on the left hand side of the vehicle so the door can swing wide open?

The fridge door can be swapped so hinges on the other side - this is the layout as this customer requested. There is also another fit out / demo video with a different (larger) fridge positioned slightly differently so the door open more - worth checking out this.
