Such a fantastic build series….loved watching how this all came together…..I’ve reached the age where my eyesight is changing so working on such small projects is getting harder. Makes seeing you build this even more brilliant 🙂…well done, keep up the great work 😎👏👏👏👍

I just got done building the CC+ kit myself. It is a nice bit of kit. Still waiting on my sensored esc and motor then I will be at the testing stage.

Thanks for sharing the build. How do you like the Drift Art chassis? I've been modifying a WLtoys K696 (inspired by your video series), but feel like the chassis isn't very precise, and was looking into the DA 2.6, XRX, Atomic DRZv2, BMR or GLD chassis. Do you have experiences with them, or recommendations on a good chassis that is easier to learn how to drift on? I heard the DA is difficult to build, but don't mind tinkering around with it. Thanks in advance!

If you already have an experience modifying WLtoys to RWD then building and diagnose the DA should be OK. If you are not sure yet then DRZ V2 or GLD is a good option. DRZ V2 offers more for the money. GLD will need some upgrades to make it perfect but it's the easiest to build and tune.

@@BeaversHobby I appreciate the prompt response, Beaver! Yes, I've cut the WLtoys driveshaft to make it RWD, but am having difficulty getting it to drift around a cone consistently. I know I need more practice. I've added a Power HD G1 gyro paired with a Sinohobby 20A brushed ESC and Flysky GT3B transmitter/receiver, but the chassis doesn't seem very precise compared to the other setups I've seen, which I think would help make learning to drift easier. I've shaved a lot of the WLtoys front end to increase the steering angle, but it seems easier to buy a chassis that can achieve 90 degree steering out of the box. I've read that the DA feels more like a DIY project, and I believe you mentioned that it's overengineered to be too tunable potentially to a fault. BMR3 mentioned that the XRX has a more stable sliding rack than the DRZ's post steering system. My goal is to drift around cones or a small track in the garage easily and consistently without spending too much on mods. I'll take a look at the DRZ, GLD and DA. Thanks for your feedback!

@@ColinLeung DRZ has an update with V2.1 that (they say) fixed the wobble steering but it's pretty hard to find. XRX drives great even out of the box but difficult to find a body that fits if you don't get the wheelbase adjustable plate and make it 98mm. Personally I find XRX to be the most expensive if you will play it regularly and need durable aluminium parts (plastic parts are extremely soft). GLD is a close second because of the upgrades it needs. I've heard DRZ V2 also has some issues but I haven't got one so I can't tell you what they are exactly.

Will you be doing a setup video for the drift art?
@BeaversHobby2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll try to schedule that after I make it 1/24 wide config.

I’m trying to get that same kit and I also have a mini z 030 evo in the mail what controller would you recommend that would work best for both cars?
@BeaversHobby2 жыл бұрын
I highly recommend Flysky Noble NB4 or NB4 Pro. It has a good selection of receivers. You will have the native Mini-Z EVO as well as micro receiver for any 1/28-1/24. The other option is Futaba 4PM Plus (in case you have a Futaba distributor near you). It's the new one that you can use a module from NB4 to control the standard Mini-Z. If you don't plan to get any standard Mini-Z (non EVO) then the old version of 4PM will do fine. It also has the native EVO receiver as well as a good selection of receivers for any kit cars too.

It took me more than 16h for the entire build (first one I do) and it is the 2.6cc so I had less to do. Nice work, I now can tell the difference between experienced builder and me 🤣 Can you tell me the final lenght of each arms for the front and the left ? I can't get mine setup, I want to use the nissan 350z mini z body, 94mm too.

I'll measure them for you once I get home.

@@BeaversHobby for the front, lower arm is the one where the suspension is attached? If so, what the size of the arm attached to the servo horn? I followed the manual and I can't make this one very long... Also I have the 2.6cc sonI can't change the angle of the servo i can just move it front and back. And make the horn longer or smaller. Thank you to take Time to answer me 👍

5 Hours just the build time alone excluding the time I was looking for the right screws/components and carbon fibre plate filing. So add at least 1 hour on top of that.

What is the best rc 1/76 model?
@BeaversHobby2 жыл бұрын
To me the Turbo Racing C71, C72 and C73 (RX7, Eclipse & Supra) are the best. The speed is great and it can upgrade the transmitter pretty easily. The performance is great and the price is reasonable as well.
