in wet conditions you need to anticipate counter steer much earlier. most your spin-outs in the video was because you were late to counter steer. at that point dumping the throttle won't do any good. on dry road though, your front end is gonna have more grip so your car is gonna respond to counter steer much more quickly. just keep in mind that it's quite different drifting in wet conditions vs. dry

Love the channel. I'm building a 2010 Crown Vic at the moment. Swaybars, Upper and lower control arms, Watts Link and poly bushings all over make a huge difference in feel for a pretty reasonable cost. Koni shocks are supposedly better than KYB, but I'm not sure which direction I'm going yet. Later this year I'm going for a 3.73 locking diff and then looking to supercharge it. Thanks for the response. You never know what you'll find in a junkyard mustang after some guy wraps it around a tree. Might be worth a day trip to score some cheap parts. Good luck.

nah you gotta use a supercharger, no lag
@cotton35887 жыл бұрын
Slenderman8309 ik this is old but the lag can help with drifting since a change of power
@Slenderman-ry8se7 жыл бұрын
True but in a race I feel like the supercharger would be the better option but in drifting I guess that the turbo would be better. And I know you can get anti-lag systems but that is very hard on your engine and exhaust because there is still combustion happening when the exhaust valve is opened and the exhaust pipes are not meant to handle that amount of pressure. But that is just my opinion.

@johnwejesooriya66948 жыл бұрын
ChrisFix, since the new suspension will lower the height of the car I would strongly recommend you getting an adjustable Panhard Rod If your car has a solid axle. Lowering the ride height will throw out your alignment. An adjustable panhard rod will allow you to realign the diff. and maybe for future reference (ONLY if understeer is still an issue a slightly thicker rear sway bar) also a good idea when doing anything for suspension do one simple thing, Check your bushes (main lookouts are LCA's...lower control arms, Trailing arms...if applicable, panhard rod...again if applicable)...Maybe even take the chance for an upgrade so you can better utilise your suspension modifcations. Ask around surely someone has some pointers for your car specifically. Hope this helps ChrisFix... BTW keep up the good work with your video's...I might add that I'm an Australian Viewer

@djwedo8 жыл бұрын
You need to learn to drift without cross your arms/hands. Cross hands usually increases the reaction time and makes you to loss the control of your drift (Due to delays in steering corrections. Oversteer). Keep each hand in it's side and just use the the corresponding (left for turn left, right for turn right) hand to pull down the wheel. Once you reach the lower wheel point with the pulling hand, use the other hand to keep the steering in position and move the first one to the side again. Also it's important let the wheel to settled on the way by itself. When you finally get a low grip situation at rear wheels, just release the wheel and let the wheel get the correct position by itself. Normally, you can't turn the wheel fast enough to avoid oversteer. The moment when you need to catch the wheel again is the thing that can't be explained. Just try and feel the car. Really hope this helps :) Drift or Die!

ChrisFix hey when u drift just try whipping the car is so much easier then clutch kicking
@JD-ub5ic8 жыл бұрын
Chris, I dont know much about your car but heres two tips for SN95 mustangs. Subframe connectors! These would greatly help understeer and keep your drifts more consistent and less likely to spin out. These are a MUST for this year mustang Bigger rear end gears! This is more expensive but with that 4.6 there shouldnt be any reason you need a handbrake or clutch kick to initiate a drift, some 4.10s would allow you to initiate drifts with just a quick press of the throttle (assuming your LSD's working properly) which would also make it much more predictable and easier to do. Its much easier to steer the car with the throttle than to worry about the unpredictability of rapidly smashing a handbrake or a clutch to initiate it First mod is prsctice practice practice, but these two things would make it much easier to get better quicker imho

Hey Chris, brazillian dude here. I found your channel by chance, and I just wanna say two things. 1) You took a huge part in the process of fixing my 2000 VW Gol alternator's positive cable, which was diming the headlights. 2) This video of you and the second run with the DriftStang, all free and learning how to sideways, brought back the deep desire I had left behind of being free and going for what I want. I live in a country where gearheads have no voice and everything is expensive (and no tracks to learn and have fun). Hugs from a friend, and keep searching for the perfect drifting line!

seen so many car videos man,like types videos,reviews,lambos vs,how to all those stuff,nothing like yours,soo much interesting and fun,no boring stuff,videos are quick and fast and straight to the point,no B's. keeping it simple by people's cars. like Hondas mustangs. where people can relate. now by driving some fancy car like gtr or Lamborghini Ferraris. not everybody can afford that. then what's the point of it. "CARS ARE FOR EVERYONE WHO LOVES IT". WHO WANTS TO HAVE FUN". people have stories behind their cars. like I bought it as my first car or it has been in my family for ages. all many stories. I bought this car for a cheap price and still its a lovely thing. all good work Chris. over the videos. the more simple and connected to people you are. the more love you get buddy. I love the driftstang.
