Drifting Off With Joe Pera is an evening comedy podcast from comedian Joe Pera and composer Ryan Dann. With low-key jokes, immersive soundscapes, and relaxing phone conversations, Joe’s narration and Ryan’s sound design will help you unwind and perhaps even fall asleep.
Featuring guest composers and interviews with interesting folks, the podcast will be released on the first Sunday of every month. Sorry, it's not more often but this is the fastest we can do thoughtful, quality work.

I picked up the clarinet about a year ago. I bought some no-name Chinese manufactured resin thing, and I think it is simply fantastic. I grew up playing piano and trumpet, and I often pick up new instruments to learn, with some successes and some failures. But I wanted to try clarinet because I wanted to play klezmer music. I'm not Jewish, I just love how it sounds, and how it had a contribution to jazz music. Thank you so much for making these, Joe. You make the world a better place, and I can think of no better virtue than that.

Thanks Joe and the team for making this little wonderful show ❤ I discovered you through 'Joe Pera talkes you to sleep' animation and has been loving everything you do ever since. There’s not a lot of calm little shows like this these days... and yours really reminds me of Painting with Bob Ross. Keep it up! We love you, Joe and the team! 🙌

Listening to this show, this feels like a great show you would find on PBS/Public Access of a man who goes around and talks to the locals about certain things and stuff. Nothing major, just a nice little small discussion about the joys of life. I love Joe Pera.

Wood that has been seasoned in water is supposed to be fantastic to work with. I tried to set up some hickory in my little backyard stream to test it out, but it did not secure it well enough, so it all floated downstream the first time it rained. I can only hope that this didn't obstruct any civil engineering structures...

I remember when I first picked up the clarinet in school and being the only boy in my group. I wanted to quit because everyone called it a girl's instrument. It wasn't until my music teacher introduced me to Benny Goodman that inspired me to keep playing until high school.

A simulation isn't necessarily something you create. For example if you give a computer some simple rules and the sim creates on its own. Then there's something you probably are more familiar with like the Sims where things happen, but it a bit more contrived not in the negative critical way but literally.
