I can't say you'll like his show but I do. The juxtaposition with other shows on the TV channel it resides really makes it stand out.

I guess fall is the wrong season for this, but perhaps next year you could take a try at using rustic joinery where you drive square pegs of seasoned wood into round holes of green wood. As the green wood pieces dry out, the hole shrinks around the seasoned peg and tightens up without the use of glue nor nails.

Very nice. I just made one of those new fangled 4 legged stools from cottonwood and elm free firewood. I even used a motor powered lathe for the legs... I tried dry elm for the legs and green cottonwood for the seat so the joints would tighten up as it dries. Its a new family favorite and I want to make more! Maybe a round 3 legger next.

There is something very relaxing and calming watching Jon and Ryan daub the cabin with that mud/straw mixture, chinking up all the holes. Especially when it is not me getting my hands messy. The stool looked very rustic and something similar to an hours' work in a divorce case I had where the husband and wife were fighting over a simple wooden bench, so like that chair, except longer with four legs. (Why do people behave like that?) So I was leaning back, smiling as I watched, and enjoying this video. Please keep them coming.
