Sorry i am quite new to drifting but why do you tap the clutch mid drift when you are not using handbrake or shifting? Is it to keep the revs high when not throtteling or is there another point?

Yeah, you’re right, it helps to keep the revs high so you wouldn’t loose that wheel spin, it also helps when transitioning from side to side, as well as when you go with huge angles it helps to not spin out, like for example let’s take a reverse entry, if you go for a reverse entry without using the clutch, you will 100% spin out because your wheels will be constantly spinning forward, which results in you constantly gaining angle to one side, but if you press in the clutch at the peek moment when you are the high angle point (or at the spunning out point) your wheels will start to spin backwards (because you have enough angle for your car’s wheels to go reverse) which results in you returning back to your previous angle and not spinning out, don’t know if I explained this well, but yeah, there’s more to it, but I just wanted to give you a quick example so that you would understand how it works😁👌

2-3 months to be able to feel and shred it smoothly👌key is to set wheel settings right (and to have a proper wheel of course), because It can take you even years if the settings are wrong

Search up your current wheel on youtube and find a video of a drifter who uses the same wheel for assetto corsa and has a video with his wheel settings for drifting, find a few of those and test out to find which one fits you best, that’s how I did it at least with some changes later on once I started to get familiar with everything👌

You can try these 3 things in content manager settings: 1) Reduce the gain to 60-70% 2)Reduce the effects (road, slip etc) to 0-10% 3) When in game, press the + and - on your keyboard’s right side, this will allow you to reduce or increase force feedback, I keep it on 80-100%

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H 3.20 GHz RAM: 16GB Disk Space: 1TB SSD Well you should be, but you will get some lag and stuff on online servers that have a lot of players inside, unless you lower down the graphics, you gotta try, for me everything works fine, but i need to reduce the graphics a bit on certain servers, but single player - everything looks and feels smooth
