This is a beautiful example of engineering. Workover (mobile) rigs typically have a crew of 4 men. They never have access to cranes. While nice this is impractical. A Typical workover rig can be rigged down and on the road in 1 hour or less. It can pull on location be spotted and rigged up in the same amount of time. The role these rigs serve in the states require flexibility combined with durability and resilience that dictate a simple solution. What I see, when I look at this, is all the points of failure that can occur during time critical activities while the rig is 2 hours or more away from any source of parts of expertise.

I think what he is saying is its way too much bs .... Most work over rigs would be in set up and job completed by the time this thing got rigged up....

@@brianseich I don't see anything on this rig that would take longer than the usual workover rig to set up or break down. You can't compare the drilling function to the workover function. With the exception of the enclosed cab for the operator, it looks pretty standard to me.

Dude it's clear you dont know shit about workover rigs ...... you should never need a crane to assist in rig up operations.... the extra hydraulics are gonna be an issue ..... plus the 8 line block would be dog shit slow ..... it's just an over engineered piece of shit
