The other guy said the actors had no choice when there's always choice. US access media splashed the actors answers all over their headlines so who's to blame? The entire point of acquiring Marvel was for Disney to grab the young male demographic that they weren't getting with their family friendly Disney princess movies. But instead of catering to and cultivating that audience, they proceeded to dilute the appeal of the brand to the demographic it was strongest in, ruining its unique value proposition for them. This is like marketing 101 level stuff to understand, does everyone just fail up in these large entertainment companies?

Ironically, Disney actually targeted boys as well with Aladdin, Lion King, Hercules and Tarzan. Hence the Kingdom Hearts series and many other merchandise. The problem was more so 3D animation being more cheaper and the last few animated movies with male protagonists werent as succesfull financially. Also Pokémon had a massive influence, not just for anime but for kids to be more invested into a IP which went deeper than just the typical fantasy or super hero.

The people at Disney have all the money in the world and no talent, nothing to show for and they are not driven by creativity or the urge to tell good stories. The people at Disney just want to be the centre of attention and for everyone to admire them, not for the movies and shows they create but for who they are.
