Drinking seawater will soon be possible for us!

In this episode we take the van and drive to a small Swedish town where we buy a used watermaker. It was a nice trip, good weather and nice views.
Back home again we look at all the pieces wonder how we will do when we put them together and where do it fits on the boat.
We clean every parts and start to dream how it will be when everything is ready.

@@uventure.lifestyle just an idea guys when you install...... Put a separate spigot on the out water so you can still run off "good water", just incase your tank becomes contaminated. It's your install however, stay safe 👍🏻

looking at a used one today myself - katydyn - the filters were pretty dirty - so it must have been working

It is a lot of maintenance to keep it in running conditions,,,, are you planning loong trips to very remote areas, I've concluded that I think it is unnecessary to install one until I'm heading to areas where I don't trust the drinking water. So now you have gotten me very curious about your sailing plans. Best regards from Jarle

You can go to France and Spain and run out of good drinking water , ? Will save on a lot of plastic bottles , And i agree it's not for short trips, if you keep using , not much maintenance,

@@davidwarnes5158 i haven't cleaned my watertanks well enough yet, and i haven't installed a water filter either, at the moment it is drinking water in canisters and bottles. And 300 liters of freshwater for other uses in the water tanks. For my cruiseing area this works "ok" for the time being. But there are plans for improvements. But im very curious about what these guys are up to and im looking forward to see how they install their system on their boat, i guess we'll se some clever engineering! Best regards from Jarle

Hi Jarle! We agree, for short trips it is not necessary, we prepare the boat for live aboard all year around. The future plans are just plans and dreams for now. Sorry Jarle you need to bee curious for a while.😉 We want to install it now, but some other work need to bee done first. Cheers from Sweden

What voltage does it take , it looks big so maybe 240v , ?
