Great job! I'm thinking of the same thing - but considering using aluminum structure tubing instead of fiberglass..... need to decide soon

How did you get the gentle curve in the roof? Was that just the pressure from your straps in the gluing phase?
@uventure.lifestyle29 күн бұрын
Hi, we made it the same way we did with the dodger. Build a mold for it, and then fiberglass. Cheers!

I fell for you. I just went through this with my wife a few years ago. Brain cancer. She lasted 2.5 years and I lost her 4 years ago. Currently I am buying a 52 foot boat and heading to the south Pacific. That was our plan.

Nice to see your grandchildren. Both Ellen (rectal) and I (prostate) are cancer survivors, diagnosed in 2018. Both were caught early fortunately. Everyone should get themselves checked regularly. Colorectal cancer runs in my family. In 1996, my older brother died from colorectal cancer, buried on his 48th birthday. A younger brother put off getting checked. When he finally did, his large intestine was infested with cancer and had to be removed. Genetic testing identified that most of my siblings also have the PMS2 gene (Lynch Syndrome). I have a colonoscopy most every year and an upper endoscopy every other. Thank you for sharing your situation. We can sympathize with your situation. Hopefully others will take heed and be proactive in all healthcare.

Hi Jon and Ellen! Oh sure they are cute! But of course we are biased in that matter. Thank you for sharing your experience with cancer, so sorry to hear that you too have been affected both personally and in your family. It really is a horrible disease. Thank you for your kind comments, they are very much appreciated. We agree other should take heed and be proactive in all healthcare. Take care!😀

This was an incredible job, and the result was beautiful! Looks like it was done by professionals! A couple of questions, if you don't mind - how many days (overall - I assume it was many weeks all together) did it take you? And what was the approximate cost of the materials (apart from solar panels)?
@uventure.lifestyle4 ай бұрын
Thank you so much! It was a lot of work but unfortunately we don't count time and money so our answer is not exact. Time around a month and around 2500 dollar It was one of the hardest things we have done with the boat but we love our dodger. Cheers!

Just found your channel, great work with the dodger! I made this trip two years ago in our 7 metre aluminium power boat from Nynäshamn to Visby the Visby to Byxelkrok, Västervik, Nynäshamn. Since then we bought a farm by the sea near Västervik and traded our power boat for our first sailing boat, a 41 foot Beneteau that we will sail down from Stockholm the first week of October. Hope to see you guys out there some day!
