Fudge You neither M5 or M3, it uses the BMW V8 from the 5, 6 & 7 series. I think it's a 4.6L.

Tommy Fletcher no It's a n62 4.8L V8, and it's used in the x5.

Fudge You Also not true, the 367hp version is the N62B48B version which is not used in the X5, but in the E60, E64, E65... X5 version has less bhp but more torque at lower revs.
