This has been one of the craziest winters, no snow in Duluth right now. It’s a good thing I believe if you want less winter. I am currently sitting in the airbnb that is Maverick Joos’s. We are trying to decide our plans for the day. Bike the trail vs. take the scenic drive vs. lounge in this awesome cabin and grill up some steaks. Life is good when these are the “tough choices” of the day! 😁

100% scenic Drive. Right now is the perfect time to go before all the tourists get up to Duluth on Friday afternoon. The weekend will have a lot of people on that road as well. You will have a great time. Don’t forget the cruise ship that is going to be leaving around 6 or 7 PM tonight out of Duluth. That’ll be cool to watch.

I love this drive. I'm from the opposite end of the state. I counted and have made this drive 15 times or more. Just a friendly suggestion - it would be better with driving sounds lowered about 2/3 or a bit of music or better yet some local interesting history and descriptions.

This was very interesting to me. I grew up in knife river and two harbors for my first 50 years of my life.. Left the area in 1986.. Have been back a few times but i notice lots have been changed..Very few cars on the street and not much going on in TH.. Still enjoyed the trip .. Guess i'll be staying in kentucky.. thanks for the ride.....

Terry, what a great place to grow up and live! Yes, things have changed. I’ve noticed over the years a lot less going on in Two Harbors besides the tourists in the summer, like me:) Two Harbors has such and small town vibe. I love it there. I was looking to see if the rooster would still be there after all these years, and it is. Wonder if still gets stolen? When I was a teen back in the sixties that rooster was moved to another location more than once. Not by me of course.
