Mercedes i want to thank u for your perfect automotive design and quality. My dad bough an s-klass W140 in 1996. We take good care of the car, it looks and drives like new. Not a single leather in car is scratched. I'm planning to buy brand new W223 for myself. Please keep this high-end level of your master-piece precision and work. People know Mercedes from it.

I grew up in the 90s and also dreamed of driving these cars. But unlike the fella, now I am a proud owner of 3 vintage Mercs ( R219 500SL, S124 300TE and W201 190E 2.6) And I still want to DRIVE my Mercedes, not the Mercedes drive me...

What are you trying to tell us??? It's only a dream, isn't it. I am currently driving an E300 hybrid. Disappointed that the engine manifold is made from plastic and it failed big time before 250,000 km. Why use plastic, not metal like in previous generations of Mercedes?

I have to admit that I did laugh when I saw the kid grow up and get an EQ-model Mercedes, after having dreamt of a SL as a young child. As much as I hate to say it, trying to compare your modern EQ to that legendary SL is just a joke. I find it hard to believe that, that child would have dreamt of owning an EQ in reality, let's be honest. It shows just how out of touch they are to think they are even able to compare an EQ with an R129 SL.

I really hope that Mercedes isn’t actually going full EV in 2030, please realise that EV’s are not “better for the environment”, but actually worse.

Really depends, if you buy a new EV instead of a new ICE equivalent its way better, but the best would be to hold to the same car for as long as possible. In the end Mercedes is just complying with the EU guidelines, they can’t do much about it.

@@attackchopper2582 If you mean better by “zero emissions”, it’s technically not actually, sure while your driving it makes next to no emissions, but the battery needs a lot of things that are “bad for the environment”, and including gas stations, in the long run a traditional I.C.E would be better, but I’m really not sure the government is forcing stricter and stricter emissions standards, even to the point of going electric, you know how the saying goes, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

I'm didn't dreamed that much like him but i do had dreamed of it and Mercedes, i extremely love the auto-piloting in a top-tier car. My car will definitely be the s class guard and love you mercedes community for mixing luxury with tech and armour. Complex things will always be at the top. Love you people

In my 2-year-old 3500 Sprinter Van. I get an "Active Distance Assist Inoperative" message, and it will not allow me to put the van in gear. This happened after only a couple of trips, making Mercedes-Benz too unreliable to drive. I thought Mercedes-Benz were well built.

Mercedes: “It’s _a_ Level 3 certification _based on_ a 0-5 scale from the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)” *Translation:* The first _California DMV-Certified_ SAE Certified Level 3 car: it only works at daytime on select roads in two states at speeds below 40 mph. It operates in “real life conditions,” which apparently do not include construction, inclement weather, road hazards, poor road markings, nearby emergency vehicles, or other exclusions included in the owners manual. It can’t change lanes, pass, or overtake. Oh…and you have to be in a traffic jam. When it does work, you can “take in the surroundings, which sounds bucolic until you realize that if it’s working, your surroundings are ostensibly traffic. Alternatively, watch videos, browse the web, play games, etc., on the infotainment system, but _only_ on apps built into the infotainment system. No laptops, smartphones, or tablets, because you can’t be distracted unless you’re alert. But I suppose if you have two free hands and a web browser 😏 “But at least I can still do all of those things and it’s totally legal, right?” Technically no. California’s distracted driving laws are incredibly broad, and neither state has exemptions, carve outs, affirmative defenses, etc. just because Drive Pilot is “state certified”. It doesn’t mean Mercedes has to come to your defense either, and the $2500/year doesn’t come with any sort of extra liability coverage, indemnification agreement, or other forms of risk transfer. _Even if_ Mercedes says “we’ve got your back,” it’s not like a Mercedes executive in a suit and tie is going to show up at the county jail to serve your 30 days 😂 In practice, we all know that Mercedes would assert Infallibility and blame the driver. But in all fairness, it _couldn’t_ have been working on an overcast day. I have hands-free BlueCruise, and it’s fantastic. I had a rental with GM Supercruise and remember it being roughly on par. Hands-free BlueCruise can do lane changes, handle speeds up to 80 mph, drive at night, and even on a blustery day. Works in slow traffic, but doesn’t _require_ it. Eye tracking works even wearing polarized sunglasses. Relatively speaking: if L3 is more than than an OTA update and a trip to the DMV, Mercedes hasn’t conveyed it. If it can do more, they haven’t exactly demonstrated it. I’m not saying the California DMV is in cahoots with Mercedes or that they have it out for Tesla, but if this is the milestone, it might be time to rethink how we’re keeping track.

Sehr gelungene Werbung. Und das, obwohl ich jede Werbung leiser stelle, weil es einfach nur nervt. Und dann kommt Ihr mit so einem Spot. Ich lasse alles stehen und liegen und schaue mir die Mercedes Werbung an. Ich selbst fahre ein günstigeres Auto, welches auch mega ist....aber bei einem plötzlichen Geldsegen, gern einen Mercedes. Viel Erfolg weiterhin.
