Very nice Clint, was this successful in getting rid of the clunk?
@Engineerboy100 Жыл бұрын
Yes sir! The clunk is gone running smoothly and quiet as I installed the Bolt Saver bushing at the same time.

@@Engineerboy100hi sir! is the bolt saver bushing separate from the kit? thanks

I believe i have a driveshaft issue i have a 2024 x3m but im not really hearing a clunking sound, i have a whining noise, then at times a grinding noise. Does you think that is a drive shaft issue?
@Engineerboy1002 ай бұрын
You might need to change your front and rear differential oils. I have videos about that.

wow didn’t realize the torque sequence when replacing my differential flange 😬I think I might’ve ruined my diff since it’s acts weird going up and down hills now

Wondering the same thing. Have a weird noise and is driving me nuts
@giowilliams78559 ай бұрын
They prolly tried to replace it at dealer . I’m going in my 3rd differential through warranty and the thud keeps coming back I bet they didn’t even bother clean it up and put adhesive like they should these techs are really not that great im the dealerships and when I talk to them they don’t even own bmw or daily drive one . Its just a job to them

That is such a weird, difficult design to work with! Why, BMW, why...
@eyvazheydarli4 ай бұрын
You're doing it wrong and recommending the wrong method to others. The propeller shaft must be secured at the center universal joint against twisting using a suitable tool, like a large screwdriver. Using a pipe wrench to secure it will cause damage. The hub teeth should be cleaned and coated with a suitable grease like Optimol Olistamoly, NOT Loctite. Loctite is used for nut threads, and a new sunk nut is already coated with it.

Truth, he not gonna be able to remove that drive shaft anymore.
@Serock2k62 ай бұрын
You guys are wrong. Its a Puma "update" where you have to glue the shaft. What he has done wrong is, dammaged the prop shaft (even when he's saying he did not. Look from 15:40) and put glue on the diff. The rubber sealant does not go inside the other nut. You have to fill the bigger nut with Olistamoly 2 584. The loctite replaced the optitemp hf 1 lt. You put a 1cm and a 5mm thick Glueline inside the Shaft and put everthing together again.
@Engineerboy1002 ай бұрын
I agree. securing the shaft at the u-joint is a better method.
