Great video, I’m glad to hear that when it goes back together, you’re going to use anti seize. Most guys never mention it (probably because they don’t use, or know about it). I use it on everything I own, especially on disc brake caliper bolts. Thanks again for the advice and info.

Good video, very hard to get a part, I tied one end to a hydro pole with a chain and sling strap, the other to a vehicle ( something heavy /solid) with a sling strap and a chain hoist , pulled snug to apply pressure in both directions and hit with a hammer /punch, it came apart quite easy

On my 2010 CX9, I have a 3 piece driveshaft. They do sell the 2 bearing hangars online but From what I gather, the driveshaft doesn't come apart like the 2 piece driveshaft. I didn't want to take a chance so I ordered the whole driveshaft assembly which can be had on Ebay for $250US. I thought that was a reasonable price for the whole assembly, plus I get the added benefit of all new U-joints. The car has 190,000 miles on it but still runs like it's brand new. I hate changing out U-joints.

Im sure the 3 piece driveshaft does come apart. Thats how they assemble the parts at the assembly line.

I hate these videos where all of the pieces just kinda magically come apart. Up here in upstate New York, the entire driveshaft, bearings, nuts and bolts would be permanently bonded together as one rigid piece of iron oxide... You don't know auto repair until you've beaten parts apart for hours when it really should have taken a few minutes... I'm just jealous. Great video.

I've just done it on mine, but I didn't use anti seize. It was really hard to disassemble so I decided there's shouldn't be any lube. why do new drive shafts don't fall apart - if there's some lube - they would fall apart easily?
