I am glad the dude passed the test in the video. As my mom always said to pay attention to details because it is always the simple mistakes that be the most costly or deadly . However, I'm glad the examiner was forgiving by passing the driver. At first, I was a little confused with what was the critical error. However, I thought what messed the driver help at the end he wasnt prepared for that last lane change, which is why he went into the wrong lane. Even though he was going to turn left into the DMV anyway, he probably was not in the right lane. He probably should have stayed straight or in the middle lane, then drive up the next block to do the lane change to turn left into the DMV. God Bless.

I just pased. The test was not too hard. Important things to share you guys are hand signal and hill park. 100% You will be asked in the test. And remember to bring all required documents with you. Today I forgot to bring the registration, and the instructer told me print it out at the counter. They charged me $25 for 2 pages. :(((.

I just did my test and I pass 😎 but I did have errors which my instructor told me. To make sure you make a full stop at stop signs. At first I was confused because I always fully stop but then he explained that 1 second is almost the same as slowing down and then go. So to play it safe just count 2-3 seconds in your head and take your time it’s not a race, trust your gut and make the safest option. Another thing to look over your shoulders and not just rely on mirrors. And that’s all I could really remember but if this helps someone in anyway that’s good. This is the same NorCal city I'm taking my test in tomorrow August 12th!!! But I'm at the alternate location in the city which is around the main mall, yet it uses the same residential area as this and supposedly is much easier-going with the pool of available examiners compared to this. I'm only a bit nervous about judging how much to turn pulling over (without scraping the curb) for the backing portion but everything else I'm golden with. Hope I can pass tomorrow! 🤞🤞🤞

His exact words were, “you are a great driver but unfortunately I cannot pass you today because you don’t follow instructions.” I then asked what directions I didn’t follow and he just said “just learn to hear out for instructions for the next time you come in. Ok so I passed my test on May 31st so almost a month ago but I never knew that you were supposed to go into the intersection during a left turn. My dad always said that you should stay behind the line because if you are in the middle of the intersection and the light turns red, you just ran the light.

Hello everyone I been watching these videos for almost about two weeks now and my test is on the first of July this Friday and I’m nervous but I have been driving for a long while though and I can point out my mistakes but I have two questions first when I’m coming to a four way intersection and it says (left on yield green light) do I go first if I’m going straight? Or do I wait behind the white line 2nd question if the speed limit is not posted in a area that’s surrounded by houses is it automatically 35 miles an hour? If no speed limit is posted? I really want to pass this part I got so bad anxiety..

1. If there is green arrow on the stoplight left goes first but if there isn’t and the light is just green straight always has right away. But left should always have to yield to oncoming traffic. 2. Surrounded by houses I would only go 25. Always go 25 if you are uncertain of the speed limit unless the instructor tells you the speed limit!

In Michigan the Basic maneuver test is the first portion . If you fail this part it's automatic fail. You don't make it to the second portion.

Please dont care what people think while driving even if you may get yelled at a few times. Take your deep breathes inhale for 4 counts, hold 4 counts, and exhale 4 counts, please do so 4 times a day. Listen to slow peaceful music. Please invest in taking driving school, if you can. These are suggestion, which means it is your discretion. You dont have to rush overcoming your fear of driving. God Bless.

You said he could correct his mistake by changing lanes, but he already got too far into the turn lane where the lines turns solid. You can't cross over a solid white line and have to commit to the turn. So either way, it would have been a critical error?

if you are in the wrong lane and the line is solid (so you cannot change lane legally), would it be correct in a drive test to correct your mistake by continuing driving in the direction described by the lane, but make a turn as fast as you can legally?

Holy shit I know where this DMV is I was going to take my test here for the 4th time at 6300 W Las Positas Bl in Pleasanton, CA but my driving instructor suggested we go to Tracy I hesitated at first so went to the one at Stoneridge Mall I failed for tailgating behind another vehicle and allegedly making a left turn on a red light. My 5th time I took it at the DMV in Tracy and passed

Just start small, build up confidence in yourself and don’t think about the negative stuff. Hire a driving instructor too as they’ll be able to help you with anything you need to learn. Just follow the signs, pay attention and stay alert, Overtime you will get used to it, just learn at your pace whenever you can.

Had my first test yesterday, but failed. I had zero errors the whole test except for a critical error for a lane violation. The examiner said that I got too close to the left side of the road in a residential area going 16 mph passing a parked car. For that I failed the test. He commented on my speed in the residential area saying you have to drive at the posted speed limit which I was confused about. I won't be returning to San Bernardino DMV for my second test that's for sure.

Depends on where you live. For instance, in Michigan, pulling up, backing into, and parallel parking into a space is all required. it’s actually the first portion of the test.

Wait, you can do a lane change on a solid whiteline

From the way it appears to read, it appears to be legal to do so, however the solid white line is supposed to serve as a discouragement to doing so as its where the lane change can be the most dangerous and most risky. It does though depend on state law, for California where this test appears to taken place its legal to do so but some states do make it illegal.

@@veggie_central It wasn't crowded when I went! Lines had at most 2-3 people in front of me. Arrived at dmv at 9am, began test at 9:30 (10 min past my appt time), and got out of there by 10-ish. I'd say most of the waiting came from waiting for the examiner to arrive lol

A yield sign means to slow down and be prepared to stop but it doesn't mean you have to stop
