I feel bad for the driver. That examiner was terrible. She was difficult to understand and she didn't explain the exercises clearly enough. And why put a stop sign on the course if there are literally no other cars on the road like there would be in regular traffic?

Well the driver passed! At a different location in northern VA. Thank you so much for understanding. That was my thought exactly. This location is known for being very harsh and super cramped. I passed on my 7th try because this location kept failing me for small things. Tried a different one and they didn't let me take the test because of not turning on the car all the way (I turned it on enough to do the pre drive checklist but not to start the car) she had me stop in the middle of the parking lot blocking other cars being a danger to others and endangering my sister's car. Telling me to have sister get the car. Finally I changed locations to a DMV I took on my 3rd try, and it passed me this time! I saw the same lady that didn't let me drive at that location, at this location right before I took my test. Hope she learned her lesson! She could've passed me and had a great day. ❤️ 😂 They told me I parked perfectly too! They asked me how I thought I did and almost had a heart attack 😭 because I thought I did better than last time but thought they were going to fail me like they had been at the other locations. ❤️ Have my family and boyfriend to thank

There is literally a STOP sign. Instructor was not hard to understand. She clearly said to obey all posted signs. The instructions were read directly from her chart. The girl just made a mistake it happens. The examiner did an excellent job.

While the examiner tried to explain all the rules toward the end, the driver probably still ended up being confused. She might have been focused on all the details from the examiner, which caused her to miss the stop and fail the test. If she told her all the instructions while emphasizing her NOT TO MISS THE STOP SIGN or she would FAIL, it might have helped her to pass. God Bless.

@Dina Gz I hear you what you are saying about using common sense. However, when the drivers are young or nervous sometimes the drivers need reassurance from the examiners to do well. I understand where you are coming from. God Bless.

As a driver you have to pay attention to many details at once. No one should have to tell you to stop at a posted STOP sign. The STOP sign should be the reminder to stop.

@mac1vzw72 I agree with everything you are saying. However, there are a lot of drivers who might have test anxiety where they may overlook the simplest details, which may cause some to panic and fail the test where they retake over and over. When they retake the test repeatedly, they may become discourage by not taking the test and not drive all together. I know that is not the examiner problem, but I mostly understand where the drivers who fail or make mistakes are coming from as well. While driving is a responsibile task, I don't believe there need to be a high emphasis on driving perfectly by attending to everything on the test. Even of the driver drive correctly at 70 or 75 percent, I would pass them. If they crash or hit another car on the exam that would be a different story. God Bless.

Nothing to be nervous about just practice the second you get your learner's permit and study the driving book like your life depends on it! Trust me that driving handbook you'll need for your learner's permit will be the easiest thing you'll learn out of all your classes ever in school. Hopefully you also get behind the wheel when that time comes in school

Ugghh I hate that she went pass the stop sign. I think the examiner was apart of the reason why she went right through. She was trying to listen to the examiner’s exact directions and thought she was supposed to go without stopping. The examiner kept talking all fast. On the other end she should’ve still stopped for the simple reason there was a stop sign just to be safe.

Stop signs inside parking lots are optional. That said, though, I do remember one of the instructions said "make believe everything on this course is on a public street and that there's traffic" or something like that.

This location was known for being hard on first time driver tests. Hopefully it'll be better the second time! Or they need to change locations lol. On the road she would've stopped at the sign with no hesitation. Unfortunately they'll fail you for just one thing on these closed course tests apparently but don't let things phase you prove to them they were wrong ! Honestly it's sad, on my driving lessons, almost 95% of the people on the road didn't use turn signals. That is dangerous for a first time driver And they just simply Didn't know how to drive....I hadn't driven in over 5 years and I drove better than all of them. Facts. That's the world for you

I hadn't driven in 7 years and I learned in 5 driving school classes and KZbin videos how to back in to a parking space pulling into a space u turn (easiest) and 3 point turn actually the passed closed course on this channel and some other closed course videos on other Channels shows perfectly how people did the 3 point turn. She did perfectly on this video but one mistake. So still passed in general! Just listen to each and every thing the instructor has to say and you have to pretend you're on the road. That's why it was a fail. Pretend the parking lot doesn't exist and whenever you see a sign. Follow it. And you'll pass ❤

9:32 I think at that timing, she should’ve went left and make a right directional U-Turn and stop at the STOP SIGN. The Examiner probably made a misleading critical error by pointing out that the student should go and start at that stop sign. However, she could’ve passed the test that if only she would had paid close attention to detailing of the Parking Lot Course. The Examiner would’ve probably took her out on the roadway and observe her driving skills by then. Regroup, Practice and then Restart the Test.

Update. I passed although Dmv does not longer offer the closed course test here in northern VA. I ended up taking the regular test with the instructor sitting in the passenger seat which i found better and easier to pass since parking isn’t graded (at least wasn’t for me)

@@avrumelruben3187 very true I failed twice once for not stopping at the hidden stop & today for not listening to the drivers instructors but i did the manuever successullly just didn’t stop where the instructor said to. & I’ve driven to and from the MVA & those that taught me to drive tell me I’m doing great for a driver so I would feel 10x better doing on the road test & not parking test. Driving instructors aren’t clear & it’s hard to memorize what they said when they’re outside the car vs inside the car.

@@howled0 congrats on passing first try, yes I had some interesting examiners, I liked the first old Asian guy I had even though he failed me, I made a critical error and understood why..but the second one plain out just told wanted to be done and go somewhere as he was constantly sighing and checking his phone, he didn’t wanna go through the hassle of passing me and taking me into the building, so failing me was more convenient. I made a complaint with proof of my dash cam recoding when he said I wasn’t going fast enough.. they said they would review the footage. They took so long that I had already tooken my third try at a different location and passed. Really just depends on the examiner for the most part and their mood sometimes. I had a nice woman my third time, as a guy, I’ve always had luck with the women instructors in school in general, some men just hating like the second guy.

Examiner in my opinion didn’t mislead anything she can’t tell the student what to do the student should have saw the stop sign and stopped. The examiner gave instructions but it’s up to the student to pay attention to signs

In other closed course tests. They literally tell you exactly everything to do on the test. Maneuvers and everything. Basically holding your hand. One instructor got the student out of their car in one of the recent videos and told the student the maneuver.... She told the student exactly what to do. And the student followed exactly what she said at that time. You're partly right. Even still I'm partly right as well. They just might have been too focused on the maneuvers. Which they did perfectly. Everyone has to remember, no matter where you are, pretend you're out on the road. What would you do on the road? Follow those rules on the closed course. Also, when you have to wait another 3 months to schedule a road test, they should not be failing for stop signs. You know how many people on the road with licenses are not following the rules of the road? Not using blinkers, not doing shoulder checks almost getting me and my bf into accidents. Etc. No this student shouldn't have failed. I'm taking mine in October. I'm going to watch all of the videos posted until then and pass. And learn from these pass and fail videos

@@IDrawToothpicks good that the student failed. Hopefully now she realizes that yes, you have to stop at stop signs. So many people die each year by failing to stop. Shes preparing to drive by herself, no one is going to babysit her. If she can’t follow simple instructions in a parking lot just think how she would respond in morning traffic.

10:25 Failed to stop is where they Failed but I feel that this was rigged somehow because of 10:32, not even sure if someone is allowed to cross the parking space liens during this test and if not, is anyone even allowed to back up in that tight u turn spot?...be observant at all times...take 📝...driving isn’t a game you know your life is at risk and so is others be Alert always......but did she also fail because of crossing the lines 10:31 parking space lines?....here is the thing I feel like she would have failed if one don’t touch the line but tried to back up in that u turn...there is no way to do it in one try unless one steps on the parking space line to the right and then a big swing.

@@IDrawToothpicks the parking spaces to the side, you can't cross over them, 1 because their solid and white and 2, there would usually be cars there. It's basically cheating, as previous drivers may have had the disadvantage of having cars parked there

There is literally a STOP sign. Instructor was not hard to understand. She clearly said to obey all posted signs. The instructions were read directly from her chart. The girl just made a mistake it happens. The examiner did an excellent job.

I just failed my exam today. Not confident I can pass it with another two tries. Because I have a gaint vehicle and the three point turn space seems tiny. Anyway what happens if I fail all three times? I know I have to go take a driving course but what happens after that? Do I keep taking the test? Anybody know? I'm so anxious because I'm having a baby in December and I still don't have my driver's license. Very upset

you shouldn’t have to take any driving course. you already had to do courses in order to take the road test, so there’s no limit on how many exams you’re allowed to fail. you just keep retaking them.
