I have a zappi coning soon and am looking forward to those longer daylight hours. I’ll have my system set to charge the batteries at night via octopus go and then using daylight will charge the car before and after work. I’ll see how that goes but i hope that I’ll need little electric other than that sub £1 night time charge.

Is it possible to use cars that have V2L (Vehicle to Load) on these trials?

Suppose that would depend on each trial and where the electricity was going. There's a huge amount of software and compatibility considerations when feeding the power back out. Thanks for the comment Phil!

I am a huge EV fan but what about the additional cycles V2G will put the battery through? Will this affect the battery life? The battery warranty?

The additional cycles will surely have an effect, but it's likely to be extremely low due to the low amounts of power drawn out. Similar idea to charging...battery longevity improved if you're just charging at low kW levels (e.g 7kW at home). Thanks for the comment John!

use a charger location like ZAPMAP and you can filter search for FREE charging. It's amazing how many there are out there
