Chris Pappas Exactly! The Aventador, for instance is all drive by wire computer limited garbage. I'm a purist. I don't want manumatic shifters or turbos. I want an all motor powerplant with 100% of controls left with the driver. I'm also not interested in anything built by Volkswagen that's called fast, yet is beaten by factory Corvettes.

As a machinist I can appreciate how much time and effort goes into all of the parts. The guy has his manufacturing process down to a science and I love the way he doesn't cheap out on even the slightest thing. Switches buttons etc. So many big dollar cars will use switches and buttons from another car from their parent company. This isn't just a car this is a mechanical masterpiece. Good job

Ferrari just started putting Carbon fibre wheels into the 488 Pista, while Koenigsegg pioneered that a long time ago. That's the thing about small niche companies - they might not have the resources of a Volkswagen group, but their cost of innovation is so much lower and in just 100+ cars, Koenigsegg has now surpassed everyone in the competition in most areas.

I can really appreciate the thought and care that goes even into the steering wheel. A day to build a wheel...I think GM builds an entire car in a day, which is sad. As for the inevitable comparisons to Paganis, I think the visual simplicity of the Koenigsegg design defines its elegance and efficiency; function and form equally served. Those paddle shifters; I can just imagine how nice it feels to click those things, and listen to that solid, quality sound. Much nicer than my $40 xbox 360 racing wheel :)

Every since I was little my dream car had been a Lamborghini.. that has changed since the Koenigsegg has hit the streets.. soon as I hit the lottery I'll be buying one.. Thanks for perfection in every single part you put into the car.

It's obvious that Koenigsegg and other top-tier manufacturers have a love for what they do. There is no sacrifice here, which is amazing.

Notice how he says "We" instead of "I". It speaks volumes. I would love to sit down and have a beer and talk cars with this man.

I love this! Keep it up, because there's a very unique thing going on here! Mr. Von Koenigsegg seems like a great guy as well - a genuine petrolhead who is passionate about what he does. Superb episodes!

You can never appreciate the beauty of these cars until you try and build one yourself. Most people could not even build a wood dash for their car much less carbon fiber engine parts and that is what makes these cars stand out above any mass produced super car. But unless you see this car in person then you can never really appreciate it. I had a chance to sit in one and I said no as these cars seem so much of a piece of unattainable art that I felt that I might scratch it. These are some amazing cars and its really special how much pride these people invest into making one. Do something you love to do and you will never work a day in your life.

Which is why column mounted paddles are larger to allow you to operate them when you are turning, but you will ALWAYS know where it is at all times. For circuit driving that isn't so important. You generally don't move the wheel too much around. But WRC cars use column mounted paddles because they are moving the wheel a lot more. For road driving you are generally using quite a lot of steering lock when manoeuvring, so having a column mounted paddle in a road car makes more sense.
