The judge did nothing wrong. The driver's name is Payton Wells. He's only charged with hit-and-run so far. They are still investigating and may tack on additional charges later. He's out on bail. Victim says it as if he's getting off. Bad editing, leading to viewers being misled.

He's not in jail because he hasn't had a trial and been found guilty, yet. He's been released on bail pending his trial. His license is suspended. His car is impounded. The court has a lien on his house (which will be sold if he doesn't show up for court). He's not going anywhere, and he'll be in prison soon enough.

The judge didn't set him free. He is released on bail pending trial. If he doesn't show up for trial, he will be arrested and charged with EVEN MORE CRIMES. Also, his house will be seized, since he gave the court a lien on it for his bail.

I blame the voters, we elect these DAs and judges that let them back on the street. God was definitely taking care of these people. Those people have not fully fulfilled their purpose in life. And God must have wanted to wake up (have his eyes open to the truth) the man that got ran over. God sometimes has to let people go through hard times to understand things. I am so happy the man survived. This was truly a blessing. I think what saved his life was this being an SUV and having room underneath the vehicle. Although, he was close to the tires. Yes. But I'm now guessing, and probably very correctly that his insurance will be sky high now. They'll probably won't pay out on his car. But for the other cars he severely damaged, that's going to make them pissed. Then the victim might claim compensation from his insurance too...the net result is sky high insurance. With many insurance companies unwilling to pay out.

That's becoming a common problem. I work security at a night club and we've been having shootings for the past 4 months. The worst one was during a riot we had, cops took a hour to show up, there were at least 10 squad cars, they had one truck at gun point pulling out 5 guys who were armed and involved in the shooting. Come to find out, they were let free a few days later. I know some of the officers who showed up and they were just as mad as I was when they found out.
