This is an awesome game. The concept of shifting might sound a little silly at first but the wealth of cars this unlocks makes it worth it. The story is compelling enough to drive the game and encourage its completion and with all the missions, mini games and online play fills up hours of time even when you “finish" the game. The amount of fully licenses cars in game blows me away, and driving the famous streets of San Fran whilst recreating famous movies is amazing.

The models are probably most likely from WATCH DOGS because they don't have enough cars to actually make it feel like a real traffic, so they reused it and nobody would see it.

Me and my friend Josh were a huge fan of Driver 1999 and we always played the game together... I even remember Josh telling me that he wanted to become a pro racer after playing the game. But ever since he passed away from lung cancer this year, Driver San Francisco would never top Driver 1999. I wish I could go back in time so that Josh would be here sitting next to me playing Driver 1999 :( RIP Josh

I've played this series since 1999, and although Parallel Lines was a much better game than Driv3r, it wasn't the same without the original characters. Thank you Martin Edmondsun for reviving the franchise and bringing back the original cast! This game is awesome!

I played this game and I do find it interesting in what direction it took the game. But I wish there were still elements like Driver 2 and 3. Like physically getting out of a car and like Driver 3, being able to use guns and even hit & run. This game I feel is a slight step back to Driver 1 and 2 with the no killing people and stay in the vehicles.

The game takes place a few months after the events of Driv3r. Tanner and Jericho survived the shootout in Istanbul. Jericho has escaped to San Francisco, while Tanner has pursued him there. Jericho is shown being transported in the back of a prison truck, but he escape. He hijacks the truck. Tanner and Tobias witness this, pursuing Jericho. Tanner ends up in front of Jericho and gets pushed in front of a trailer. A hard crash puts him into a coma. The game will take place in Tanner's coma dream.

a nice concept for the game would have been he’s put into a coma and actually given supernatural powers to assist officers in the actual in game world, not his coma projecting sf, he assists ordell, and the final mission is him losing his mind as he goes too far into the case that he relives the incident that put him in the coma, the story missions are him, i’ll say again, helping officers and assists those in the mission in real life.

The reason why customization would be out of place is because of the story, you aren't a driver/racer like in NFSU/U2 trying to win rep and money, you're a cop doing missions, helping people by shifting into their car. Sure TANNER's car could be customized since it's his car, but still. It isn't the point of this game. Maybe people who were the other Driver games are disappointed by comparing this game to the others. But for me who hasn't played the old games, it's still a solid game.

God, I completely agree with you. They were trying to make this game like you're in a part of Dukes of Hazzard or Fast and the Furious, racing games always were used to be about, just DRIVING!
