I was released from prison after serving 6 years and I failed the first four times I took the renewal test. I woke up this morning at 3 A.M and saw Liz videos and I started to watch all of them. I went today and I'm happy to say that I passed because of her and these videos. Legit and so happy. And when I get home I get a call for a job that requires a driver's license so things are looking up because of Liz and these videos. Don't give up don't ever give up. You can do it. Believe me. @@boouquetxo9282 Sorry. I responded back to Liz but on a different video i guess. Yes. Yes. Yes. I passed. Missed one. And Liz's easy-hard- and harder tests were the really helpful ones. There were a couple of the harder ones I surely would have missed if I hadn't watched these videos. The questions were not on any other tests. Do read the manual if you can. There are some tricky ones about like bicycle protocol, where the lights are on a bike etc. and what the penalty is for a hit and run which doesn't seem to be relevant to a knowledge test about driving. But Liz's questions really helped. And yes read all the answers and the questions carefully. Good luck.Thank you for asking.

Hey Jeanne, I am in CA and we don't have to take the test until we are 79.. I am reviewing everything helping my son take his test, it is for sure a different test comparatively. We had a VERY easy test in the 70's. it's been great for the review- I have learned a lot even after taking Drivers Ed several times for tickets..I have no accidents but several tickets - 50 years of driving - knock on wood! Cannot express my gratitude! 3rd time and passed! Look I let DL lapse years back...went back, renewal and new real ID paid my fee and just needed to take the knowledge test. First test, I took some practice tests and FAIL. 2nd time I studied the driver's handbook... 2nd FAIL. 3rd and final time. DID a full read thru manual wrote things down (it helps!) and watched all your videos and even listened to them on the way to the DMV....PASS!!!!! It's just a relief and thank you. Just renewed my CA DL today and there were two questions that I had never seen before. One question concerned NEV signs and what they mean. The second question concerned how long can a vehicle remain parked on the freeway. According to the DMV Handbook, NEV stands for Neighborhood Electric Vehicles and the time for a vehicle to remain parked on the freeway before being towed in 4 hours. Hope this helps.

Here's a little more info on those two topics for future test takers: *Illegal Parking* If you must stop on a freeway, park completely off the pavement and stay in your vehicle with the doors locked until help arrives. A vehicle that is stopped, parked, or left standing on a freeway for more than four hours may be removed. Sure glad I found this video! A LOT has changed since I took my last test 7 years ago! I am 85 years old and do not smoke, do not drink, do not drive at night, do not have young children, so most of those questions were new to me. Got to do a lot of memorizing now! Didn't know it was illegal to smoke in a vehicle with a child under 19 years old. I missed a few because I never heard of such before but reading carefully lets one make a good guess. Eliminate what you are positive is NOT the answer first.

This is for everybody this is the best advice I can give I studied 3 hours a day every day for three months and I passed you can take as many times you need to until you pass it then you pay so don't worry and the DMV will let you take as much time as you need just know certain time then they put you out know you're you're fine don't worry

Great job. I appreciate your good humor, excellent DMV handbook presentation, and teaching skills. My driver's license expires this month, and your excellent explanations and suggestions will help me pass the test. For "mature" drivers like me, I haven't taken a DMV written test since I got my license as a teenager. Agreed. The CA DMV tests are written by idiots and are highly ambiguous. As a CA commercial driver license holder since the 1980's and a Class C driver's license holder since 1967 Commiefornia's written tests are made to trick you into failing because they probably think there are too many drivers on the road. I can't wait to join the exodus of California residents to another state! No wonder that Governor Gruesome is a "student leader" of the totalitarian World Economic Forum.

I was supposed to get my license after I finished high school in 2019 and I failed 4 times in a row... It was too much for me along with other things going on, so I stopped doing it. I am 23 years old, and I have not attempted to study or take the test because of how much anxiety I have on myself along with little to no Confidence (that was my biggest issue... Confidence) However, I have found a system for me to help study more efficiently and being confident to drive a car. When I saw your videos on my YT recommendation page; I realized your videos has helped me better understanding the questions and what to look out for on the test. i just wanted to say thank you for making these videos!! i watched almost all of them and they were super helpful and i passed the permit test on my first try! i probably missed like 6 questions but it was because i second guessed myself and two of them i don’t think i’ve seen before. one of them said something like “the court will notify the dmv after a moving citation when” and then something about cargo on the back of a truck. anyways thanks again, and for anyone who’s going to take the test make sure to read the questions carefully, take your time, and try to imagine the scenarios in your head :)

It makes sense why #1 is the most missed question, the handbook fails to mention it. For a WHITE CURB the handbook says "stop only long enough to pick up or drop off passengers". A mail truck is never mentioned which makes it confusing and causes you to rule that out as a possible answer. The tip was incredibly helpful but that part being included in the handbook would have been most helpful.

Look for a posted sign next to the green zone for time limits, or locate the time limit painted on the curb. • Yellow-Stop no longer than the time posted to load or unload passengers or freight. Drivers of noncommercial vehicles are usually required to stay with the vehicle. • Red-No stopping, standing, or parking (buses may stop at a red zone marked for buses). • Blue-Parking is permitted only for a disabled person or driver of a disabled person who displays a placard or special license plate for disabled persons or disabled veterans. A crosshatched (diagonal lines) area adjacent to a designated disabled parking space is a no parking area.

People are not getting the same information which is problematic because that could be the difference between them passing or failing. I'm thankful to have gained a better understanding to eliminate further confusion but this will undoubtedly be an ongoing issue for Californians looking to acquire or renew their license until both sources of information are on one accord. 🤔

We 100% see what you're saying and it looks like the DMV dropped that bit of info from the DMV Handbook, which means they may have adjusted their test questions regarding white colored curbs. However, it is still true that white curbs are for both passenger loading and mail drop-off, as described by California Vehicle Code 21458 (3)(B), so it's a good piece of info to know in case it's still on the test. I've pasted the current vehicle code below so you can review it, hope that helps! *CVC 21458* (a) Whenever local authorities enact local parking regulations and indicate them by the use of paint upon curbs, the following colors only shall be used, and the colors indicate as follows: (1) Red indicates no stopping, standing, or parking, whether the vehicle is attended or unattended, except that a bus may stop in a red zone marked or signposted as a bus loading zone. (2) Yellow indicates stopping only for the purpose of loading or unloading passengers or freight for the time as may be specified by local ordinance. *(3) White indicates stopping for either of the following purposes:* *(A) Loading or unloading of passengers for the time as may be specified by local ordinance.* *(B) Depositing mail in an adjacent mailbox.* (4) Green indicates time limit parking specified by local ordinance. taking my permit test tomorrow! really nervous but im watching all these videos, studying the book, and taking permit practice tests to pass! one of my tips for remembering #5 is: under 4'9 you can't ride (in the front seat) 6,7 under 8 you need to wait. I'm not sure if that helps too much but its there!

The last time that I required to take a written or driving test was in 1991. When I got the renewal notice this time it indicated that I had to take a written test. I went to the DMV to get a study book to study for test but they didn’t have any. I found you on this media and figured it would help until I am able to get a study booklet. Thanks😊

I just got back from the DMV where I passed on my first try. My CA license expired in 2020 and I lived overseas until now. Because my license expired so long ago, they made me retake the theory test. I honestly didn't study much. I watched about 5 videos similar to this one. Then this morning while at the DMV, I had to wait a long time because their computer system was down. I grabbed the DMV booklet to look through. I waited so long that I finished the whole book. 😂 Honestly reading the booklet was my saving grace because 80% of the questions were from the booklet. I missed only 2 out of 25 thanks to reading the booklet.

Hello, you've got this! All you can ask of yourself is this: do the best that you can do at this moment in time. Whatever prep you have done so far, great! Now it's time to take the test and just have some confidence in yourself. I guarantee there will be some questions that stump you - don't stress about that, that happens to EVERYBODY. Just remember there are no trick questions, so just make your best educated guess when you are unsure of an answer. No matter what happens, you'll know you tried your best. And finally, take a couple deep breaths before you begin and just remind yourself to breathe calmly throughout the test - in the big picture, today is just one small step in your overall driving journey. So relax, do your best, and you'll be fine! Best of luck to you!!

I'm 75 and don't remember the knowledge test being this hard 5 years ago. I just failed 2 attempts, then decided not to gamble again. Guess I still have one more try. I believe the missed questions were about push-pull steering, BAC for a minor, yield ahead sign, unattended child and more. Maybe I'm at the point now that I'll have to stop driving, although I have a perfect driving record and was a professional truck driver for 21 years. I'm depressed about this. These tests are designed, I believe to trick and confuse. I read that they are written by Highway Patrol officers and that if you can think like one, you can ace the test. I cannot think like a Highway Patrol officer.

5 years ago I took my first renewal test after reaching age 70. This was on paper and it had 18 questions. Today I just passed my current renewal test, 25 questions with only 2 errors, on the DMV computer. A few things should be mentioned. If anyone is thinking of utilizing any of the many online practice tests that are available as study aids to pass their test, be warned The practice tests that are available online, though some in part deal with the rules of the road, and do mirror past written questions from a few years ago, bear little resemblance to the verbiage or phraseology used as those on the CA DMV computer versions. You'll also find that a portion of the DMV computer questions are geared to laws and fines, and simply not to just driving rules or safety issues. Case in point, I only had one question pertaining to a road sign, but non relating to lanes or directions. Sample tests on the internet can be used as guides, but it is also important to go over the various laws, fines and technical issues in the handbook. Perhaps the CA DMV has bought into the use of Artificial Intelligence to create a new breed of tests.

The questions are almost all different from what you see here. Use your common sense. Sometimes one word changes the meaning of the question. Read very carefully.
