7:12 I don't think he's used an anamorphic lens. Think Tom meant a wide angle lens, which the exaggerated perspective would suggest. Anamorphic lenses can certainly be wide angle lenses too, but not all anamorphic lenses are wide angle lenses.

Yep, the camera guy obviously had a mini panic attack to be asked while shooting like that out of the blue while he was focused on his job and the word "wide" must have blanked out of his mind, so he went with the next thing his brain could quickly come up with, which must have been "anamorphic". He must have realized it quickly and felt bad but stopping and correcting James would ruin the shot.
