Rusty, I was stationed at Holloman AFB from 1977-1980 and lived in Alamogordo. Enjoyed living off base and it looks different than it did then, of course it has been around 45 years. Went up to Cloudcroft often. Enjoy watching your driving videos, brings back memories. Thanks! By the way, been watching your channel for a long time.

I have a cousin who lives in Alamogordo. My husband and I used to go through there when we drove a truck to El Paso. Loved to stop at an old truck stop and get a huge breakfast burrito for $3.

I believe that having a sticks and bricks house just wasn't meant for you at least right now. You seem to be more happy when your on the road seeing these scenic places. What better way to see em' than to take your home on the road with you wherever you go. FREEDOM!!!

Great driving video Rusty. Last time I was in Alamogordo, it was raining, sleeting and snowing all at the same time. We were at the Air and Space museum. It was late November. Take care and have a great day 👍

Rusty, do you have a desire to visit the Eastern part of the country, or Northwestern part of the country. Or do you think the country in general is too screwed up to venture out that far? I myself am afraid of venturing to far away from my vicinity. But there are a lot of beautiful places I would love to visit.

Cannot imagine any sane person even thinking about travelling to those parts of the country, has nothing to do with the distance or scenery.

Alamogordo was home to Col. DR John Stapp. He established and proved the principle of Murphy's Law. He is credited with creating Stapp's Law (or Stapp's Ironic Paradox) ; "The universal aptitude for ineptitude makes any human accomplishment an incredible miracle. He was a man who did deadly serious work bit never expected someone to take a risk he would not And he had a great sense of humor.

Hello from Germany. That looks really nice, that would really be a place where I would like to live at the age of 34 :) What about jobs in this place or around it? How is the housing market or could you even build something new? Please excuse my great curiosity :) My Neighbor was a German Soldier in Alamogordo Holoman and approached me when he told me how much nicer it is than here and what can I say, what I see and hear is probably true, especially from the weather and the wide freedom :)

Is it a boomer generation thing to say things the wrong way and then correct yourself? Like how you did with scenic? I've heard others your age do it. Was it from a radio or TV show? Also please ask a local how to pronounce Las Cruces. It's not "crew-shush". It's "crew-suhs"
