Wow, this was strangely compelling and very relaxing. Thanks a lot for doing this!! I look forward to more of the Minneapolis suburbs. Plus, you saved me a ton of time on my future exploration of Minneapolis. It really does feel like you're there when you watch this video. I like them without any music; it's great the way it is.

I live in a suburb around the twin cities. It's not much different than any other city. Not much sightseeing aswell. Best thing that is known around here is mall of America and minnihaha falls.

I'm from just south of Minneapolis, and was thought another idea of filming Minneapolis, could be filming one during evening hours during summer.. Not when it's completely dark, but late enough that some of the nightlife begins.. Then I was thinking follow that up with a maybe a snowstorm drive through Minneapolis, or at least during the the snowiest part of winter, so people thinking of relocating to Minneapolis get a full perspective of weather.. Thanks, and very cool

Same here in Miami... Horrible just horrible aggressive drivers, cut u off. It's like driving in a minefield... every car is like a bomb coming at you and you have to evade it. But i wonder why it happens the most in cities with more hispanic population hmmm.

Akkkkkkkk! Why am I watching this?? I drive there every day. But still I watch. It was still more fun in the 70's to take the #5 bus. Get off on Hennepin, Hit Schinders, The Army surplus store, The arcade ( Yes they had an arcade before computer games. All mechanical or vacuum tube), Then hit Woolworths under the IDS center. Grab lunch. Take the #5 home.

I lived in Minneapolis in 1977. Hennepin Ave. was awesome! Massage parlors, bars, strip joints, head shops, xxx theaters, street life! Those kind of streets used to be called combat zones. Hennepin was cleaned up years ago and now it's just another gentrified downtown street. It looks like all the street life is gone. I remember Moby Dick's Whale of a Drink, The Long Branch, The Rusty Nail, The Gay 90's, The Mirror Lounge, Union Station, and The Hungry Eye restaurant for a great after drinking breakfast. Haven't been there in years. Those were the days...

You really get a grand tour from the comfort of your home while stoned. I live in San Jose, CA pop. 1 million, the downtown here is small and the buildings no taller than 300ft because of the airport being close by, but SF and Oakland are only a short drive without traffic. I would love to ride my bike through DT Minneapolis while smoking a blunt and marveling at the buildings.

the only time I ever see lots of people outside is in the spring and summer. The rest of the year we are in our cars or in the skyway, which allows you to walk all over downtown in a climate controlled environment

A lot has changed, even in the last few months. A LOT. New stadium, new buildings in the northern part of downtown, etc. However, that northern end of downtown is shit imo, they removed Grumpy's Bar, Macy's, and several other historic areas for these crappy condo highrises. Overall, the city is getting more and more beautiful overtime with its skyline this last year, but some of it wasn't for the better. We're losing more of the history, in a similar fashion as Austin, Tx.
