For everyone saying that you can't drive more than 12 hours on the app, theoretically you can. They only count the time you are driving towards the 12-hour limit. Read it in your own application. Maximum Driving Time Driving on the Uber App is limited to no more than 12 hours at a time. If you're offline, or stopped between trips, the time is not counted toward the 12-hour limit. *If you're stopped between trips* The app does not shut off just because you were online for 12 hours.

Seasonal surge? Damn I want that in my market for Notre Dame Football season. It surges like crazy during the weekend games. But it's super busy all week, and they take away the surge mon-thurs. About the challenge: it's not accurate. Theres a 12 hour max per day on Uber. You should of done "Doing rideshare for 24 hours straight with Uber/lyft". Do a 12 hour shift on one app, then immediately switch to the other one with no rest till 24 hours. It's not a healthy challenge in the slightest, but this is how you'd have to do it.

I went down there this past weekend and I had to certify that my vehicle had no open safety recalls after I went back online after lunch. You can only do 12 hours of book time meaning when you’re actually on the way to pick a customer up have a customer and drop a customer amount of time when you’re waiting doesn’t count towards your 12 hour driving time

I do 30-35 hours driving straight with no sleep like once a month. It's not easy and not good for my brain health so I don't do it often even though my body is used to it now. 24 hours straight no sleep is actually easy for me.

With Lyft the most is 18hrs realistically ( 12hrs in beginning, take the 6hr break, then you can do another 6hrs before the day restarts ). 5am-5pm=12hrs. Take 6hr break restart at 11pm end at 5am. That’s the 18hrs. The new day for the shift starts at 5am. Now if you drive past that and start the cycle all over again then yea you can say you did 24hrs but not completely straight but also driving 24hrs straight can be dangerous to you and the passengers.

With Uber I use to make $2,700 a week and I did not push hard enough with the bonus I usually made $1,100 to $1,200 in two days with ride bonus. There was a catch to this I worked over 110 hours a week. When I did this I completed 9,000 rides that year. Overall I completed over 15,000 rides in 20 months then took a 3 year break and came back part time.
