Currently there is a new law that you can't park in the shade, but nobody takes it serious yet. I would only get angry at this when it's heavy traffic, cause yes I do it too on my scooter...

If I do this in Singapore I’ll feel like I’m the the most inconsiderate person in the world. Having said that, I’ll always move forward from the shade whenever a car appears behind.

Not so long ago they were telling on the news that stopping under shadow to avoid sunlight can be fined and the police are on it , 3寶= the typical cultural Taiwanese drivers 😅

I'm Taiwanese who live in Taichung. And yes, the traffic here in Taiwan "Culture trumps legality" is EVERYWHERE except in Taipei I guess. It's a shame to let you guys from other countries to see these depressing views everyday.
