I agree. Plus I like how the 4 cylinder is much easier to work on than the 6 cylinder. While the 1MZ-FE is a great motor also, it's more difficult to do basic maintenance like spark plug and pcv valve changes for example. Also, IMZ tend to build up engine oil sludge and leak from the valve cover gaskets.

@@jacobmartin9774 I've driven an 01 Lexus ES300 with that same 1MZ. I absolutely love how smooth and refined it is. I do like the 5S-FE a lot, it does make less power but it's a very simple engine and doesn't have the issues the newer 2AZ's do. I am a little disappointed with fuel economy (I average 22-23, highest I ever got was 28 on high mileage highway driving), but the 1MZ will absolutely not improve that lol

Took my June Camry with 213K miles at the time down to southern Florida to buy my 01 white Ram 2500 diesel 5 speed back in March of '23. Drove like a dream and had no worries.
