I’m afraid in WA we have some of the slowest speed limits on the planet and it still doesn’t the stop some horrendous accidents. Speed isn’t the killer, bad drivers are. In Europe there’s much higher standards on the road despite the higher speeds. Loving this mini series Michael 😍🇦🇺🏴🎨🍷
@rogerbarker1655 жыл бұрын
Mate, the best advise I can give you is; when you come to an intersection where you want to turn right, say to yourself "righty tighty, lefty loosey". Then turn 'tight' onto the road as you make your right turn. The opposite applies to the left turn. That is, turn loose onto the other (left) side of the road. This was the way we survived adventuresome driving in the States and Canada a few years ago. Great vid. Cheers

1:32 Driving with your lights on is a bloody good idea. I always do, from my little Ford, up through my Land Rovers and further up to the B-Double trucks I used to drive. I did it on the major highways here in Oz, on bush tracks, and on the inland roads in the Double where you may not see a car for hours. The sooner someone sees you the safer they, and you, are. It's a no brainer, and it should be law everywhere, not just Europe.

The best way of driving anywhere in the world, left or right hand, is to keep in mind that the driver must keep the outer side of the road. Passengers always ride in the car on the side of the pavement, while drivers must go on the outer side of the road, along the white line. In double/triple lanes roads, just keep your passengers next to the pavement side, on the first lane.

Sorry to hear about the passing of your beer fridge. Did it have a name? I lost a beer fridge many years ago, fell off the back of my truck on the way to a bit of a holiday in what we call the bush (the beach in Mexico). Someone got not only a nice fridge but also 12 cases of beer! Now as to scones, why not just call them scones as you do in your video on the topic? I thought biscuits where like kinda hard chewy things (is that what Kiwis call Anza Rocks?) but here is my poor source on cookies v biscuits vs scones from Google: "If you happen to be in the U.S., then read “cookies” for “biscuits” here, but in the Commonwealth countries of the world, and India for sure we still like to call them biscuits even though I’m slowly seeing cookies taking over." So be it mate, it gets worse with crocs vs alligators and other strange stuff. By the way, the drone vids of Poland are great, very pretty place. Bit unsure why they need this expense below but the US can use the trade dollars (6.53 billion worth): "Buying a fifth-generation fighter is expensive and includes an abundance of training, infrastructure, and maintenance costs beyond the aircraft themselves. Right now, an F-35A, the Air Force version of the Joint Strike Fighter, costs just under $90 million each. For comparison purposes, in January 2018, the Pentagon estimated the sale of 34 F-35s to Belgium at $6.53 billion when all associated costs are factored in. Poland already flies 48 Lockheed-made F-16 fighters. Now that would buy some serious quantities of beer for the mates. Bob Jarrard (font went red by itself - must be out of text limit)

Try saying this to yourself " Right is right. Left is wrong" at every intersection/ turn/ exit from a parking lot. I reversed that for my Oz trips and it worked like a charm for me. Headlights ON = SAFE. We have daytime running lights in Canada. They come on automatically. Still better to have your lights on because it will illuminate your tail lamps too. Pedestrians have the right of way here too.
