I've watched a few great videos of this amazing off-pavement trek. But, I gotta say, my own trek 25 years ago there started in Escalante UT and went "down" to Bullfrog ... and the breathtaking views as you drive downhill are way better than those people are taking going up the trail. I highly recommend starting in Escalante. Just check before going ... that last river crossing before hitting pavement again was flooded the night before I went, a Jeep stuck up above axels in fresh mud, and I had to backtrack about 25 miles upriver to find a "dry" crossing, across boulder the size of extra large beachballs. Slow, rough going, but fun. Oh, and 4 hours later, I checked on the dude stuck in the mud as I passed back by on the other side ... still stuck.

Thanks for sharing your experience and perspective! Sometimes the most unexpected memories are the best ones. It’s probably about time to go drive it again? 😎

I enjoyed your video. It shows me that the road is not that bad. We will be driving the Burr Trail on May 19th starting from Boulder and I plan to go as far as driving the switchbacks and then turn around to go back. I especially want to get into the Singing Canyon, and yes, I do plan to sing in there. 😀

That’s a perfect drive! Too bad it’s not till May 😉. I’m so glad the video helped with your plans. I love the idea of filling Singing Canyon with your voice. One for the bucket list ✅. Thanks for your comment!

Beautiful Ride…Much appreciated the video…I just got back from Utah to MN 1.5 weeks ago. Now I have an another reason to return to Utah…I just gotta retune my Jeep. 🙏 loved your plant based diet…

Yes, get that Jeep in tiptop shape! There’s so many scenic drives in the vicinity - have you done Cathedral Valley Loop? It’s worth it to see temples of the moon and sun, incredible monoliths. I did a video on that drive. Also Shafer Trail! Glad you liked the food. 🌱😉

I had to turn the sound off to watch this. Do you guys really like that noise better than music?
@PlantBasedJan Жыл бұрын
Hmm - since there’s little to no outside noise, I think you are referring to the music choice as “noise” right? Fair enough. I like the feedback. Personally, yes - I like everything from hard rock to classical. I try to fit the landscape with the right music and those tracks were appealing for this badass drive. But that’s me.
