👁 About this video : What It's Like Driving The Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat!! The Challenger Hellcat certainly made a wave in the car community since it packs a massive 6.2L HEMI V8 that is supercharged and pushes 707 horsepower. To be honest I thought it would feel much faster. It's not a slow car, but it certainly doesn't push you back in the seat like I'm used to. This car would however, be a great platform to modify! Larger pulley, full exhaust and intake, and a custom tune would get this to around 1,000 horsepower! Then the Hellcat would be fast in a line! It's crazy how even with 707 HP the high curb weight of 4,500 pounds holds it back. For reference my GTR weighs 600 pounds less with similar engine HP and is astronomically faster feeling. And I bet my tuned Supra would smoke a Hellcat. However, the Hellcat is a very comfortable car to drive with a ton of space. The back seats are great for full sized adults and in the front seats are roomy! This is a huge two door car and the hood sticks out far. It's a boat on the road but is actually fun to drive! The manual transmission is fun to drive and is very engaging! And the supercharger makes an awesome sound! l also love the exhaust note for the Hellcat Challenger! Very beefy since the engine is so large! Overall if you want a smooth power deliver and potential to have 1,000 HP out of the engine easy, and comfortable roomy muscle car. The Challenger Hellcat is a great option! Quick enough stock and cars be daily driven very well!

I initially thought that a manual in a Hellcat would throw me off a bit but I think the gear shifting sounds like a really smooth transition and I also thought that there would never be a matching red interior!

It’s def an entertaining car, like said had a 19 WB HC manual. Car is just simply too big (3 inches longer than a 5 series) and heavy. And it feels it. Power is hard to put down even with wide body tires. But it is practical. Why they’re so popular. Have sold very well over the years.

@@BrosFOURRSpeed Yeah man, the 19 had a new hood which added 10hp. So was 717. Regardless, it’s a sled. Way too much tire spin on launch. Car goes sideways. Not for faint of heart driver. That’s why got rid of it. Simply too big and cumbersome.

@@BrosFOURRSpeed Def, it’s mostly a straight line car. It can def turn even though it’s big and heavy. Rides on a super old E class platform. To hook properly, car needs drag radials. Why the Demon and Super Stock has them.

Honestly I doubt insurance is much. Depends more on you, less about the car. Take the highest deductible and pay in full. And if you have a clean record it can be cheap. You'll miss the good handling from the Supra tho. But this has a ton of practicality

I had an option go with hellcat or scat pack widebody i love how they look lowered or gt350 but they have some engine issues. I went with GT-R. To be honest having that much HP. I prefer auto. I believe autos are a bit faster ? Wife drove GT challenger it was awd and handled well in snow ❄️🌨️

They do look sweet with the wide body for sure! I know someone with a GT350 with 26K miles and zero issues, I don’t think it’s as many as people think but can’t go wrong with the GTR! Depends on what you are using it for but in my brothers GTR with 700HP, it’s too fast for a manual! But yeah the awd would do well in those conditions!

You have to keep in mind that when a car sits on a dealer lot, it spends time idling and being moved around the parking lot. I had it on and running while filming the inside. So those numbers aren't accurate at all for normal driving.

Man I wish I could find a used SRT Hellcat w/ 13k miles for $60k! Historically, the big advantage of US muscle cars is that they've offered a real bargain for power-hungry consumers who don't want to pay tons for a BMW or Audi. These days, the value proposition isn't so clear.
