Hopefully in future videos will be addressing the maintenance costs, specifically the replacement cost of the CDC shocks. They sound expensive... Regardless it's very refreshing to see a car at this price bracket being equipped with such a system. I think the next one to have it is the Ranger Raptor? (in terms of ride adjustability, please correct me if I'm wrong). What a time to be a car buyer now, so many options! I'm personally looking to buy another car (D-seg preferably) to alternate between my L33 Teana. Another great video, Aiman & MM crew. Looking forward to the more detailed review of the C9.

Due to the inability to tilt the seat, the drivers seat had to be adjusted higher to provide under thigh support. This is common with Chinese vehicles, as well as with PROTON.

Dimensionally they may seem similar, but the Omoda C9 feels like the larger car. Especially inside, where it feels wider & longer both in the front & the rear.

You mean the J8? When we spoke earlier today with Emily Lek, she made it very clear that the Jaecoo J8 is still planned for our market as "the Jaecoo and Omoda brands are positioned differently and appeal to different buyer profiles."

No such issue. Rear seats also have electric recline for added comfort.

We were not able to test them during our drive due to the limited time, but the more basic 8-speaker setups in other Chery/Jaecoo models have proven to be pretty good. The C9 therefore can only be better.

Believe it or not, specifications vary from market to market. So what they offer there may be more in line with South African market expectations. The SA market vehicles get a 9-speaker audio system, whereas MY market cars get 14-speakers as standard. They are also driven by a higher-power amplifier with "improved audio logic performance" from the headunit, which speaks to a more upmarket audio experience for the flagship Omoda product in our market.
