I struggled a lot for more than 2 days to select the third gear when l was in my driving lessons. But the most important that l have learned is the 1st and second gear and how you should place your hand into the gear, BIG UP BROTHER!!! On the 10th of May, I have been booked for defensive driving 🚦 and you will be the 1st person to hear 👂 from me
@worlddriving Жыл бұрын
Hey there! Thank you so much for sharing your driving experience with me. It's totally normal to struggle with certain aspects of driving when you're just starting out, but it sounds like you're making great progress! It's awesome that you've mastered the first and second gears, and knowing how to place your hand on the gear is definitely an important skill to have. I'm so excited to hear that you've been booked for defensive driving on May 10th - that's fantastic news! Please do keep me posted on how it goes, I can't wait to hear all about it. And remember, even if you encounter some challenges along the way, don't give up - you've got this! Keep up the great work, my friend!

Third and fourth are the "default" gears. The springs automatically push the lever into the center of the pattern. For a change from second to third I don't palm. I simply push the lever forward, wait a fraction for the spring to work, and push the lever forward again. Psychologically I really like this because it's like a pilot pushing the engine levers forward on takeoff! Third to fourth, no palming, pull straight back. Fifth to fourth, no palming, pull straight back, pause, and straight back again. When I watch Classic NLS videos the drivers also use this system. Moral of the story, let the springs help you as much as possible.

I have never been able to block change gears because i was taught to change up through all the gears when speeding up then the same when slowing down.
