Purchased the same as the test model down to the color and got the heat/vent power rear seats with the kick open rear door. The list was 70,550 on mine. They had other ones from regular to hybrids. Looked at a GLE350 and GLE450 prior to visiting Lexus. 450 was its closest competition, and with similar options was 17,370 more. Originally planned on looking at the 350 or 350 h luxury but asked to drive the 500h just to see if it had no turbo lag like a lot of reviewers said. I'm glad I did and bought it that night. When making the appointment to go see it, they had 15 or 17 in stock in all different powertrains and trim levels. When I arrived, they had sold 4 or 5 that day, and 3 of them were waiting to be picked up. Including the dark blue I really wanted to look at when getting to the dealer. When picking mine up, another 4, including mine, all cleaned up, waiting to go home. Paid cash for mine and wasn't hit with any adjustments at all. They don't discount hybrids, but a ton of dealers markup them since they're popular.

Great review Ryan ! We love our Subie’s, but just last night I was talking with my wife about saving up so that when my 2011 Rav 4WD Limited with a 3.5 V6 wears out, I’d like to replace it with a Lexus. I don’t want a turbo but a hybrid is a must. We live in the mountains outside of Cashmere and get 4-5 feet of snow every winter. My wife’s Outback is actually better in the snow than my Rav. For a Subaru Forester Touring is $39K and a Lexus NX hybrid AWD is $40-42K. So I told my wife that I’ll start saving $600 a month so I can pay cash for a new Lexus. We normally keep our vehicles for 15-20 years, so by the time I buy my next vehicle, my wife will be driving it after I’m dead and gone. Keep your great videos coming. I look forward to watching them.
@zero2sixty2442 жыл бұрын
Depending on how much snowfall there is at a time, the hybrid AWD system is pretty limited, speaking from a 2021 RAV4 Hybrid standpoint but the systems are pretty similar/the same. It’s capable but in my experience, the rear motors put too much power to the rear at times and can swing out the rear when going slow around corners in snow, but needs the Trail mode’s assistance a lot. I feel like the rear’s instant torque vs the front wheel’s gasoline engine is mismatched too. Just my 2 cents
@Doc18552 жыл бұрын
@@zero2sixty244 My Rav is a 2011 4WD, not the AWD. The 4WD in my Rav disengages at only 25mph and then only the front wheels are the traction wheels. I’m sure you remember the storm we got last January? We had a foot of snow on the ground before the storm and in 10 hours 3 feet fell. Because we live 5 miles from town and on a private road, we have to plow and maintain our road. Our road is 1/2 a mile from the end of the county road and it’s one of the last to get plowed. It took Chelan county 2 days to plow us a path into town. It took all 7 of our neighbors a day to get our road plowed to the county road. When Wenatchee gets 2 inches of snow, we get a foot or more. For a week after that storm my wife drove her Outback and I drove our 4X4 pickup. Both of those have more ground clearance than the Rav.

a little late to reply here, but I had the 2022 RX450h V6 hybrid and I did love the V6, but going from this to the 500h, it is a HUGE upgrade, like not even close. MPG is extremely similar if not the same as the 450h but the power and ride quality just destroys the V6. I would recommend test driving it because the old V6 in the previous gen RX feel so slow now, I'd take the 4 cylinder turbo hybrid set up over a V6 turbo any day now.

The competition is already much stronger than this. the RX is ugly up front the interior looks like a Toyota tech isn’t great powertrains are laughable, handling performance are not great, and the ride isn’t best in class. And it’ll be overpriced and fwd A gv80 or MDX or aviator or even a cx9 signature are much better options than this The performance RX is such a joke. It doesn’t even outperform a Toyota Camry v6

All seems good …. But why does Lexus has to make the looks so unappealing … that’s a face that only a mother would love!!!! The interior is gorgeous and looks great… so there is that!!! It’s like Lexus is on a competition with BMW to see who puts out the ugliest car!!! 😩

I totally agree about the front grill! Maybe half that size so it doesn’t hang down toward the ground so far -looks like their trying too hard to “look tough”

They basically have morphed the spindle into the fighter grill like on a 10-year old Mitsubishi. And the back looks like Nissan. Meh.
