My neck is causing serious issues, even affecting my vision. I have pain at the back of my neck, frequent headaches, and trouble focusing when looking at something visually busy, like while driving. My vision gets blurry, and I feel like I’m in a drunken state, not knowing where to focus. It only improves temporarily if I massage my neck, but the symptoms return later. I’m convinced it’s cervicogenic dizziness and really hope these exercises will help. Thank you for sharing this video!!

I have something similar. when I am driving and I feel the sensation coming on I pull to the side of the road on a offramp, take a cold gel pack and put it on my face and do deep breathing exercises, then I place the pack onto the back of my neck and head. Then I am good for another 30 mile. I hope this works for you.

Hello Dr. Saunders. I have been lightheaded 24/7 for almost 6 years now. My primary doctor says it's probably one of the meds I've been taking for so long or that I may have Autonomic Dysfunction. A decade ago I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease and before the lightheadedness, anytime I aggravated my neck, I would get a dull ache on the left side of my head, face, jaw, and neck that would last for 3 days. I've actually had epidurals in my neck to find some comfort with no luck. When I irritate my neck, the lightheadedness amps up a bit but never to the point of dizziness or fainting. For lack of a better term, I feel high all the time. I've adapted to this but it weighs on me as my quality of life sucks. After I saw one of your videos on Cervicogenic Dizziness, I mentioned this to my doctor and he said he doesn't believe I have this but it makes sense to me. Unfortunately, no chiropractors near me specialize in this area, and I'm so tired of feeling this way. I don't focus on what I must do to improve myself. It's like I have this huge cloud over and under me and I'm just so tired of this.

You might want to check out NUCCA chiropractic treatment as well. The upper cervical spine, when out of alignment, can cause these brain fog, dizziness, and headache issues.
@drjonsaunders28 күн бұрын
@@Millie-uf9pn Thanks for sharing - those symptoms can also come from the middle and lower neck as well. So the entire neck should be examined. Best wishes.

come from Serbia im 21. Years old, in February 2024, i got think i got PPPD. month and a half before that i had virus infection or covid (idk didnt test). Symptoms were bone and muscle pain,back pain temperature up to 38c. Coughing really bad, i got better after 3 days, just continuing coughing. Than lets say in January 15. I didnt cough anymore, but was anxious about health and got few panic attacks here and there. One day i woke up feeling like a little drunk and nauseus. Bcs i thought i had brain illness or sum. Till March 2024 i felt really bad felt like im going to die soon (worst days of my life). My parents didnt let me on MRI saying that im overthinging and everything, whitch i did but also had PPPD symptoms just didnt know What it was. Then did MRI, blood tests, go to ENT doctor and everything in the end of march 2024. Turns out to be normal. I than was sent to psychiatrics that give me SSRI and say he hears of PPPD First time and that its all bcs im anxious. Now its December 2024 im on SSRI. Drinking vitamins and everything but still have symptoms just less than before. Before (February to May or june) i felt really bad like derealization and shit like that like im going to fall, ofc symptoms sometimes got better and worse. Same these days some times better and some times worse. But not as bad as before. My parents treat me like i have no problems and say that i stop “crying”. Will i be able to fully recover one day from this and is it possible considering how long i had it also my age. Thank you soo much, it would mean i world to me to year answer from you

Doctor, what if I’m dealing with a combination of cervicogenic dizziness and PPPD? Where should I start? Should I begin with cervicogenic exercises, PPPD exercises, or both simultaneously? What should my first step be? Because my neck is a big problem (stiffness and pain) and I have all the PPPD symptoms!! The anxiety, visual dependence, dizziness, blurred vision etc. How should I start addressing it? Please help!!!

Hi Doctor Saunders, I don't know what my problem is but something in my neck. I can't move it properly and I feel a lot of pain especially when I am lying down in my bed and I am rotating my head. I can feel the pain especially in my right side from my neck down to my shoulder blade, I think it could be the trapezius because the pain is not exactly the shoulder blade, but between I've been feeling in pain for 2 years now and I can feel that the thing in my neck is affecting the way I walk and makes me in some ways invalid because sometimes it feels like I can't walk and I am dizzy as well. I'm trying to explain those symptoms to my GP and to the physiotherapist, but it seems like they don't understand and sometimes they say it is because of some stress and they don't realise that it is very distressing to feel like this and don't get answers and solutions. I hope you can kindly help me with some kind of answer. 🙏 P.
