Just like most people here, I did tests, mri's, been to the hospital, felt like I was gonna die etc. Now that I know what I have I can actually do something about it. I saved your videos and do them everyday!!!! They help soooo much. Today, I drove!!! I haven't driven my car in a long time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤❤❤

Dr Jon , I started off with a serve case of vertigo and have not recovered yet. I have been having head pain, balance problems and ear pressure. I been to the ENT three times with vertigo. They said I don’t have vertigo any more but I am still having dizziness and balance issues. I had a MRI on my head and it is normal. I had a X-ray on my neck. They said i have severe arthritis in my neck. My neck is stiff and hurts at times. My range of motion on my left side is not good. Do you think my dizziness and my balance is coming from my neck.

It has helped tremendously but hasn't gone away completely. I still get severe dizziness when changing head elevation, laying down, sitting up, etc. After exercise routine in the morning dizziness fades through the day until by evening I feel almost normal. @DarknessTruth242 ай бұрын
Yeah, how long did it take for you to recover from it? Also, what symptoms did you have and feel in your neck to start this? I initially thought I had sinus issues due to pain in the front and sides of my head and the back of my neck. A CT scan showed nothing abnormal, so I reassessed and realized the pain was radiating from the back of my neck, especially on the right side below the skull. Pressing that spot triggered dizziness and referred pain to the sides of my head, forehead, nose bridge, and front teeth. Now, I'm still experiencing dizziness, and it seems to be linked to my neck. I'm waiting to see a neurologist and likely undergo an MRI for further investigation. For the past three days, I've been doing the stretches recommended in a video I found, but it took six weeks of thinking this was sinus-related before making this connection. I hope the issue is isolated to my neck and nothing more serious. This is the best diagram I found to show the pain points: reliefchiropractic.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Cervicogenic-headaches-1.jpg Doctor, @drjonsaunders could you please confirm if these areas align with typical cervicogenic pain points? Specifically, can pain and referred dizziness originating from the lower back of the skull travel to the forehead? Additionally, is it common for such neck-related issues to cause symptoms like pressure in the nose bridge or front teeth? Your insights would be greatly appreciated and could also help others experiencing similar symptoms.

This is such a brilliant video. I've been looking through all sorts of content from eye exercises to ankle proprioception and whatnot. But this stretching and strengthening routine for the cervical spine has been most helpful to see immediate results for myself in my coordination. I've been dealing with arm weakness, pins and needles, numbness in my fingers that all came from pain in my shoulders and my neck. After finally seeing what dermatomes are and realising that I'm likely dealing with a nerve in my neck that travels all the way down my arms this was the best solution for my coordination problems. Not to mention I slept on a towel last night thanks to the pillow video he made and it resulted in no pins and needles for me so far. Thanks Dr Jon! :D

Today being 29/12/23, I was just scrolling my KZbin randomly when your channel propped up & I opened it. I've suffered from dizziness for the past 25years. Living in Nigeria -Africa, I was told it was malaria 🦟 attack. The dizziness has been increasing in intensity over the years. It comes suddenly between 2am & 3am early hours & the whole bed spins me around violently, I would clutch the bed tightly calling on Jesus to take control of the situation. Immediately after the attack, I start feeling very ill & nauseated with severe headache. I normally go on antimalarial & the symptoms disappear. After a while, the same thing happens. It has been a vicious cycle of always being ill with dizziness. My eyes roll over behind my sockets. When I move my head backwards I feel dizzy, some mornings, when I wake up, standing up from the bed, I will suddenly suffer a dizziness attack. After watching this video, I'm so happy, I will try these exercises & pray for my healing in Jesus Glorious Name-Amen. Thanks so much Dr.

My PT has given me the first two stretches you show here for neck. I have added the rest of this routine and I'm blown away by how much better I'm feeling after only a few days. I'm also using your shoulder routine for my sore shoulders and that is a huge help. thanks for all this I know this will help me get recovered completely and back in action. thanks again guys like you and u tube is the help many need because I feel doctor's are to busy to give us all the help we need. Gonna give this a try. I've had neck and shoulder tension/pain for almost 10 years. Then about 5 years ago I woke up with severe vertigo and dizziness. It's not as bad as 5 years ago but it still affects my daily life. I've seen my doctor and ENT but they couldn't find any issues with me. Come to think of it, I notice on days where my neck and shoulder tension is really bad my vertigo seems to be bad on those days as well. Seems to be related. Gonna try your exercises. Thank you

I've suffered from dizziness for better than a decade. I've seen many doctors and have gone to the national dizzy and balance center. It was always hard explaining that I wasn't falling down, just felt wishy washy. I was told the Botox I get for my migraines would help but it's been almost 3 years and I've had no significant improvement. I have military neck along with two bulging discs in C5 and C6. I've had neck issues since I can remember and headaches for 23 years. Until today, I have never heard this term cervical vertigo. Not. Once. I woke with a super stiff neck today and that accompanied dizziness. A quick Google search to see if neck stiffness can cause dizziness and magically, I find this video. I will incorporate all of this into my daily life and if it can provide me much needed relief I will no longer subject myself to 36 injections of Botox every 3 months! Thank you for this video!

I have been dizzy for the past 2 months to the point I would feel my body would switch off in the middle of my walk. The doctor has suggested physiotherapy because he thought the reason is a neck. While Im waiting for my appointment I decided to try your exercises at home. Literally an hour before I couldn't walk outside without stopping to keep the balance every 5 minute. Now, just an hour later, I went out to get my laundry and felt LIKE A HUMAN. The surroundings weren't circling around me and I didn't feel like I will fall right now. Wow! I do feel though that the last set of exercises might, on the opposite, stress my bacl and shoulders too much which might lead to more problems since they activate when I try to push myself with a hand. Not sure how I feel about that part of the exercises, but either way... WOW

Hi Jon 🙂 I had a neck injury for around 6-7 years ago, and have been dizzy and fatigued ever since (go to bed at 7-8 pm every day)... The doctors in my country have given up on me, so I have for years, tried youtube, and articles... One of the latest channels I found was yours. have been all over the place, with dizzyness, but it seems/im guessing that I have both Cervical dizzynes and Earstones/BPPV, so that has made it really hard to distinguish the symptoms, depending on when I went to a doctor. Also the triggers for the dizzyness part, is triggered by, tiredness, allergy, coffee, alcohol. so It has been extremely hard to identify what happens and the cause. I work as a software developer, so I sit at the computer all day, which is not great for the neck. Anyways to my question, You mentioned that tiredness can "trigger" the cervical dizzyness, have you heard about allergies/Inflammation, as an trigger? I had a very specific episode, were I was starting on my Grass allergy vaccine (pills), and when I took it my HRV went like crazy, got hot, and when I got up, I got this dizzyness, that felt a lot like the dizzyness from the neck... And how does the tiredness impact? is it because the muscles get tired? I can lay in bed, in the day, because i'm tired, and looking at my phone, and I get CRAZY dizzy, like my body thinks I'm dying, and have to protect my heart. It takes a second, but it feels like all blood is going to the heart, and I get REALLY sweaty! I tried it once, were I did the Epleys, and on the fourth movement i didnt just get the feeling of the stones/crystals aligning, but the body just went into alarm mode! thought I was dying. So far i'm seeing a osteopath, every second week, which keep me up, but its hard.! And Now I found your channel, and your exercises, i'm adding those to my repertoire ! Thanks and sorry for the long message 🙂 have a great day, and keep up the great work

Hey, great video! I have been dealing with chronic dizziness for close to 15 years now that doctors have been unable to explain aside from suggesting that stress and anxiety might be a culprit. The cervicogenic dizziness symptoms sure seem to match up with mine, and I imagine my anxiety leads to neck tension issues. My dizziness has gotten loads better with Klonopin, which operates as a muscle relaxer to a degree, but I have noticed that weight lifting, bench press and bicep curls in particular, make my dizziness much worse. Usually the dizziness is pretty extreme days after weight lifting. Do you have any advice on how I can keep lifting weights without messing up my neck muscles and exacerbating my dizziness issues? Thanks for a great video, I'll be doing these exercises everyday!

HELP! 🚨 As soon as I started doing this routine I began to feel that “drunk” dizziness. Why? I will feel a little better, but if I’m working on a machine, or problem, the harder it gets, the more nauseous I get and eventually have to bail to vomit. This has been off and on for a year. ENT said no issues with my ears. EEG result from neurology report was normal. I have a mild migraine but very unusual to have dizziness. Thx for the reply. Will SLOWLY add reps to exercises. Suffered concussion/ whiplash from backward fall 1 July. Many ER visits Finally saw Neurologist prescribed vestibular exercises ( included yours). Over zealous P/T Set me back 5 weeks. Back to about 75% US terrible for aftercare, ER prescribed nothing After not finding bleeders or breaks. 2 months to get appt with Neurologist. Orthopedist looked at MRI. Which shows moderate central canal central canal stenosis. Said to avoid P/T Slowly using your exercises for vestibular for last 2 months. And now adding your neck exercises very slowly. Unfortunately not close to Toronto or would stop in. Have been biking, hiking, paddling each day for last weeks. But neck range of motion quite away from pre fall And take 2 mg Tizanidine for muscle relaxation Some days. Thanks so much for posting these exercises, they have made a difference in what has been an interesting recovery. Not linear by any means
