In terms of supplements I would recommend Vitamin D and Zinc. In addition, try to get your omega 3's in through salmon, mackerel, sardines etc. Also some of those oils you mentioned can be highly comedogenic, such as coconut, so need to be careful when applying them to the skin.
@robredo98527 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately ALA doesn't get converted very well into EPA and DHA (less than 5%) so you're barely getting any omega 3 from the sources that you mentioned, even though they are good for you. You need to eat some fish, or take fish oil instead. Salmon, mackerel and sardines are lower on the food chain so are very safe in terms of mercury levels. Definitely avoid shark, swordfish etc.
@robredo98527 жыл бұрын
You're only converting about 5% so you're gonna need a shit ton of chia, flax and walnuts. Both Dr Rhonda Patrick as well as Chris Kresser has talked about this in depth on Joe Rogans podcast. I suggest you take a look at those. I'm not trying to have a go because those foods that you mentioned are very good for you, but not for the purposes of getting omega 3 in your diet. I add chia seeds to my smoothies because of their fibre content for example. An algae supplement is a good idea.

Oils depend entirely on the individual. I use coconut oil with a few drops of lavender and while it doesn't really help my acne (neither makes it better nor worse), it has completely regulated the oil on my face. @Phoenix-uy7nm7 жыл бұрын
Eggs definitely never helped my skin. I stopped eating them for ethical reasons (male baby chicks get thrown into a grinder or gassed to death in the egg industry). Since then my skin has gotten better, but it could be due to other reasons like changing my diet overall. Plus they're loaded with cholesterol. There's really nothing healthy about them. I'd fill my plate with other things that really help skin like sweet potato, low gi fruits, or veggies. Best wishes.

You must fix your diet first and foremost. Eat a lot of vegetables and fruits, no processed foods or fast food. Drink lots of water and get lots of sleep. You also need to establish a good skin care routine. Find a good cleanser, I use one from Sephora (it's worth it to get a more expensive cleanser, after all, this is your FACE!) and a good moisturiser to use day and night. Wash your face in the morning and at night. You should see results in a few weeks... your body will begin to heal.
