I started thrift shopping in 1971, after I got married. I’ve shopped from the east coast to the west coast. The treasures I’ve found are mind blowing. Not many shopped at them back then.

Another great show. Love these, don’t stop. Searching in my Goodwills, and I have 7 close by, is so much fun. I used to go to a huge flea market near me every Sunday, walk the whole thing for the exercise, usually found the best things when there were only a few sellers. I’ve only done some garage sales but found a Polish blue fairy light $.25 at a long dead end where people were not driving to the one at the end. I love it, it’s large 10” and had a label. Got home, researched it, it was saying on a few sites just over $400. Didn’t know anything about Polish crystal. Will go back and see what else they made.

Wonderful stuff Dr Lori. I love collecting and using crystal. My friends are always impressed when I serve them coffee with my Waterford creamer - that I paid AU$1.00 for in an op-shop. Cheers from Adelaide, South Australia.

In 1976 I bought a carton of ball quart jars. Each one had a different bicentennial design on the front. I enjoyed them for years. After all the time and use and moves I have one of those jars left. It has the liberty bell design. It’s my favorite canning jar!

Hi Dr. Lori! I love love your channel. Thank you for making them. I noticed a stopper next to the four square crystal bowls. Do you think it belonged to the Waterford decanter? Just wondering. I hope your allergies stop tormenting you. Mine have too. Ugh.

Dr. Lori, I bought a lot of Hoya lead crystal at thrift stores while I lived in Japan. I just got them because they are beautiful, but are they collectible? I know they don’t make them anymore, does that make them more desirable? Thank you!
