You should try to get your hands on a sanlight lamp. Assembled in Austria they have a super thick heat sink and use top binned osram and bridgelux diodes. Claim to have 3 umol and are very expensive but in terms of quality apparently there is nothing better than

I bought a "NEW" FC-3000 EVO last month, $289 CAD on Amazon ca. It's a lot of light for the money.

Id like to see how this compares to the ac infinity which has the evo diodes but twice as many diodes. Seems like mars hydro cheaped out on this light.

if its the same power but less light wouldn't the difference be in heat? so old must make a bit more heat or where did the power go if it wasn't transformed into the same amount of light from the same power
@DrMJCoco16 күн бұрын
All of the power from both lights eventually becomes heat. Initially the power is converted into heat and light, but the light all becomes heat too. So the old version has a little less light and a little more heat in the initial conversion but all 710 watts from both fixtures eventually becomes heat. Good question and Grower Love!

Hi Dude just for your audience it's been 2 times that I have had problems with mars hydro the ip67 connectors. take care on the fce 6500 and fce 8000 series check the temperature with your hand they are hot it creates an electric arc which melts the plastic and then comes the fire. lamps not even 1 year old. the wires inside touch it and start the fire. I suggest not to wait after marshydro they give you an engineer's spiel that they will check. I checked my fc 4800 they seem ok but I have to change all the connectors with quality connectors. there is no luck taking it starts with flashing or the control remains 100 percent, the wire comes very hot. They know they have a problem, under warranty for less than 1 year, they changed the transformer and the wiring..afterwards 1 year supposedly 5 years guaranteed. These 1 years and you pay for transport and repairs. I am not saying that they are not good overall. My 1p67 connectors are very dangerous so be advised. I will keep you informed of development.my opinion the more you go in the wattage raise the connectors are not suitable for 8 amp and more

@@ohmimprovement5767 thanks bro for the honest answers. I’ve heard about grand master led from alot of forums. Would u say Vulcan leds or mammoth leds are valid light companies? ✌️thanks again

I do not like the e-par tests, they're an led 'push' ..... par became a big thing because leds are excellent at making that 400-700nm (so led manufacturers grabbed on to this data and sold it hard, rightly so) but they are awful at producing anything outside of that range (led uv for example is a mono spectrum, single spike at 365nm and leaves 80% of the uv range empty whilst being less efficient than fluorescents) so interestingly anything below 400nm is never considered useful by "researchers' but after the invention of 730nm leds it now turns out that up to 750nm is now important and if they ever invent 760nm leds 'researchers' will discover the next day that up to 761nm is now important. All 730nm does is induce stretch which as indoor growers we are trying to avoid. I love leds and think they're great but to keep 'moving the goalposts' to make leds look better undermines the scientific stance that reviewers are trying to take. (and im not blaming you for the invention or use of e-par either) I think you are the best light reviewer on this platform so im not 'having a go' I'm just hoping that you dont just add in a par test as a token and focus only on e-par. Any review i ever see on any light i always come here to check its validity because i view this channel as the gold standard . P.s genuine question though, why have you removed the only hps par map you had on your website?
