To those 20 year olds thinking traveling is fun & how is it a con, I worked with one of the prestigious NGOs sir mentioned in the video as a MBBS Doctor during pandemic & i travelled like a gypsy. I was given hours notice to relocate to a different state for indefinite period of time & work out of a hotel room. I was single, living away from family & 27yo. So i managed to do it & kind of enjoyed the adventure. But trust me, i met with seniors doing this for over a decade & they despise traveling. Because when you travel for work, you can’t enjoy much. You are like a swiggy delivery guy who can’t taste anything that he delivers.

i will try to be as direct as possible. Even though we know everything has its own risks, how would you weigh non surgical clinical branches like radio/derma/psychi with psm on the other side when we talk about the opportunities after pg ? I mean, even though if things dont turn out the way one plans, we hear so highly about the job security and perks in those fields. Do psm post graduates enjoy the same level of certainity or is it more like back to square one after 3 years of pg ??

Mohit Rajora I really have not seen an unemployed PG doctor .. maybe from any field.. It all depends on ur perspective for a branch... if someone likes A subject, maybe he’ll do wonders in That subject rather than radio or derma... that’s what is my message here in the video. @@deepikabishnoi you should look for how’s the department, how’s the HoD, talk to some Pg residents… that’s also one factor as it’ll help you perform better during ur Pg Next is you should see how much research is done in that department.. is the department having ongoing research projects which are funded. Another factor is language, it’s better if you do Pg community medicine from a college, where the population nearby is known to you in terms of culture, language.. hi, thank you. 1. PSM is to be chosen not based on your location...it involves teaching, research and mostly being associated with medical colleges. 2. regarding clinical practice - its more or less like family medicine. you will be able to see almost all types of patients, of course not treating congenital heart disease or acute appendicitis or other high end diseases requiring advanced care and tertiary care setup... but most of diseases which come to a general practitioner or family practice. 3. yes, as AP the remuneration is almost standard for any branch, its same for almost all branches with little variation up or down..
