I always wonder why DJI discontinued the spark. All they needed was to upgrade the battery to the same as the mini. The spark has more technology then any mini and it's still an Awesome drone in 2021.

Just got into the FPV hobby - I have the Beta95X V3 analog with the TX12 with Crossfire and the ProTek 25 DJI - so I'm going to try both this Spring - in the meantime practicing with the UZ65 and TinyGO kit lots of fun!! Also a lot of SIM time - thanks for the advice...

What are your thoughts about remote ID... what is your advice on buying a mini 2.. today.. or any other relatively expensive drone ... in pre remote ID...would we not wasting our hard earned money 💰

My thoughts on remote ID are that it makes the government sleep better at night with no benefit to the hobbiest. Buying a drone today for AMERICANS all depends on how often you buy a drone. If you only buy one every 5 years, then wait. If you buy one every 2 or 3 years, then get one now regardless of remote ID.

If you are in the US, the Mini 2 won't be subject to the Remote ID requirements. Remote ID will only pertain to drones weighing 250g or more. There is also a requirement for companies to produce a Remote ID attachment so that people with older drones can come into compliance. If you want a Mini 2, then buy it. Don't let Remote ID scare you off.

Not really because camera drones have terrible latency and a different type of communication system. So if you own a MAVIC you can then use those super crazy big ass RACE GOOGLES from DJI. For other drones, you'd need a controller with an HDMI out so that you could plug it into any type of goggle with HDMI in.

Video lag on a budget drone is always caused by: - The processor in the phone (you have a cheap phone) - Another app in the phone causing the problem - You have a massive phone case on the phone

Correct. Your FPV Goggles are designed for an FPV Drone and not a camera drone.

What is the “Gravely Tractor” of drones? Most reliable, affordable, timeless. We have a 1962 Gravely tractor that hasn’t run in more than five years, but I know if I put a good battery in it and fresh gas, it will start and run as long as I need it to.

Wifi is a communication system between your phone, controller and drone. GPS obtains the satellites signals from the ones above the planet so that the drone knows where it is at all times.

Simple... Fly wherever you wish, but before you launch your drone, look around. Do you see humans? If yes, don't fly. Do you see moving cars? If yes, don't fly. Do you see people in buildings? If yes, don't fly. Do you see an airport? If yes, don't fly. That may sound silly but that is how you fly in Canada. Watch my vids.... notice any people? If you see some, they are in the know that I'm flying.

Does the S in 6S battery mean ‘Stacked’ I was told that the S in battery’s mean stacked so a 4s is 4 Stacked etc.

Honestly, the majority of people in the FPV community refer to the "s" as "cell", as silly as that may sound. I think you are closer to the truth with "stacked" but I believe it means "series" as in you have six cells in series.

6S should mean the batteries are connected (in circuit) in series. The other option would be the batteries would connected in parallel. If in series you increase voltage and if in parallel you increase capacity.

After watching several of your videos. May i make quick suggestion. Airplanes, I believe you would very much enjoy 3D flying aka aerobatic planes. Steve another great video. I can’t wait to se the picture quality. I am so glad it is on a slide rule of difficulty. Just because it is such a difference from cam drone to fpv it scares people who thought they were really good at flying a drone but didn’t know the drone was doing most of the flying.lol Also really happy to hear about the stickers! Probably ,the DJI fpv might have a mode called "free-style" mode which locks the gimbal at 45⁰ ( just a guess)

Really huh I have an Apple Watch 6 and the battery last every bit of a day. If you have a watch face with more black in it it will help with battery life. And if you turn always on display off it helps but I’m sure u knew that. U can also adjust your brightness which helps. Just trying to help. But anyway Keep on Keeping on Capt. Love your reviews. I recently got a Mavic 2 pro and am kicking myself in the butt for not going with the Mavic air 2. Or heck even the evo 2 .But maybe I’ll get better at photography.

As always good informative reviews. Is it possible to review small indoor drones less than $100 to enjoy during lockdown. Here in the UK Authorities frown upon flying drones outside during lockdown unfortunately drones over 250 grams we’re unable to fly in our back gardens.

Hey I'm originally an RC Heli Pilot... You'll be fine cause you fly FPV.. Itll feel the same in th manner thst you always have to be in the sticks and manage throttle control.. Only diff is you're watching with your eyes & not goggles... Now they even have heli's with auto altitudes and stability control.. Lol Ya you can now let the sticks go & it'll stay there... Just started seeing those bouts 6mths ago..

Well, that X-Dynamics drone looks like a very promising product. That is sure to put some pressure on DJI. At the very least the remote control is top notch and it's good to see they've improved upon it. It never occurred to me that DJI could be releasing two versions of their FPV drone to the market. That could be very interesting and I might consider buying if the smaller one is substantially cheaper. Great video, Captain!

I don't know if you made a mistake you said the DJI inspired too can only go a kilometer it's 4.3 MI a kilometer is only about a half a mile.. I think you made a mistake? Isn't the inspire 2 based on the older occsync 1.0

Nope... That is the advertized range. In reality for everyday work I get 1000 meters reliable. Anything further is not reliable.
