@@raunak5965 Just saying anything for the sake of it isn't great. Its wrong to say everything is going to GIFT. Usually such deals are never made public. When and where a company like Barclays would open up an office in the city you would never know until it comes on social media platforms. And I request you to please go and do a thorough research of Singur and Nandigram cases....SC themselves said the land acquisition was illegal. The CM led the protest to justify this and ultimately won (despite being violent). Does not mean she drove out industry. Since then Tata and many other companies have invested projects worth lakhs of crores in WB. There is certainly and absolutely no proof that "no other industrialist even considers West Bengal as manufacturing hub". Everything will happen eventually. You can't expect everything overnight. And explain to me how can service companies open without demand which is driven by industrialisation to a great extent? Lots of medium to some large scale industries are coming up in WB albeit they aren't automobile or electronics based but still there is industrialisation as opposed to none. Recently there were a few tieups with the state MSMEs to make them export based which is a good decision. Yes marketing for more of electronics and heavy manufacturing industry is needed but this will take time as not all the infra is in place just yet.
