The THM file is just a thumbnail file. Reelsteady doesn't need it, or the audio file. THM, and the LRV file, are only for the GoPro app to show a thumb/preview of the clip.

It can be this. I had same issues at the beginning using 2x the frame rate for my shutter speed. Since I’m doing 4x times it’s 👌🏻 also using filters when needed !

Great video man! Whats your finalcut pro X import and export settings if you film 2.7k 30? Do you export in H.264 or apple pro.res 422?

Projects are always 4K with ProRes codec and if I have 2.7k footage I put them in the 4K timeline and they’ll be automatically up scaled. To export I use « compressor » with custom presets 😉

It’s 99$ for reelsteady go 😉 400$ is for the over one which is working also with cameras. It works much better than other software stabilization (I’m talking about what I’ve tried for GoPro only cause reelsteady GO works ONLY with Gopro). I didn’t notice a loose of sharpness but probably a bit in the corner cause it remove fisheye and crop in a bit the image. But to be honest when you shoot in 4K or 2.7k it’s 100% fine !

Using filters is not gonna affect Reelsteady… 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’m using filters all the time. But if you don’t turn off GoPro’s stabilization yes !

60fps is if you want to make slow motion 😉 you’re absolutely not gonna have a cinematic look if you edit a project in 60fps 🤷🏻‍♂️ but, it’s your choice 😊

Drone Mood Alright thank you, then i go with 30FPS. But do i really need to pick 60fps for slow motion? Because when i film in 30fps and then interpret it to 24fps it will be slow motion. I use after effects and there i can make it to 24fps and then it is slow motion. Why to record in 60fps then. And can you tell me, what fps my Timeline should be? Always 24 or 30 or the fps of the actual footage? What fps you render your videos? Lets say you made a video with mavic 2 pro and FPV Clips. I shot in 30fps with all my drones but my projects are in 24. I’m always converting my 30 to 24 so it gonna put them at 80% speed and I speed up my FPV footage x2 (with correct % of speed for the project which is 160% and more if you do x4 etc...) or I keep them at 80% it’s just a liiiitle bit slower. But generally I like to speed them up a bit cause FPV lines are long 😉. But my first FPV videos was edited in 30fps so... it’s your choice... the easy way or more work but real cinematic look lol.

is there a way to save my reelstady video from my pc to a ipad. I use lumafusion on my i pad and when i save my video on a sd card and try to open it on my ipad its hidden or doesnt show up. Do i need to save the video as a special file or name so the ipad can read it. Thanks this is driving me nuts.

6 or 8-9 Black with reelsteady GO 100% not the 7 cause hypersmooth is clearly not better than reelsteady and if you decide to buy reelsteady after, the gopro 7 don’t work with RS GO until you use a dedicated mount on your quad... real shit ! If you want to make cinematic FPV videos nothing is better than reelsteady for FPV footage stabilisation 😉✌🏻

Yes you need to turn off Gopro stabilisation to use RS Go 😉 and shoot in 25fps or above (not 24fps)

There is some issues like this sometimes since the last update... Try to remove the “.offset” file of your bad export, re-import, delete first and last keyframe, put a new first and last one somewhere you’re flying straight forward. Also adjust the beginning and end of the video, then adjust settings and try to export again. Sometimes I need to do this 3 times before it works... If not find the part of your export where the rumble start and remove this part in reelsteady when you redo the process 🤷🏻‍♂️. Hope they gonna fix this bug with a futur update !

Same here and there's nothing we can do about it (i ran tests) except watching videos via google chrome in 1440p or 2160p except that in 1080p you’ll have some pixels sometimes due to KZbin compression . It gonna happens mostly on footage like forest cause there is a LOT of informations + the fast speed of the quad 🤷🏻‍♂️
