Best combination I found after flying the Wizard X220S model for a year was 4S/75C/1550mAh (Tattu) and Dal Cyclone 5050's. 4 min flights and loads of power with very good grip and punch outs. The 5042 and 5048 props I used by Racestar were scary on fast corners, I kept hitting the ground, I was used to the immediate bite of the 5050 props, they are awesome. I think the purple Wizard soft ones you showed are 5051. Great vid, thx.. enjoyed seeing it on 5S.

I fly both my drone on 5s and they last longer than my 4s. You just have to fly 70% throttle most of your punch outs and just know it has the power when you need it. I'm also loving the racerstar 5048 props. Lots of torque at low end too.

Love the sound of 5 and 6s packs. Remember when you rest the quad rather than going nuts with the throttle all the time the battery voltage will settle down to a higher number than you're seeing in your OSD.

Hello, I have a question and is it possible to display the battery voltage in the glasses on the Wizard X220s? When I set this in Betaflight, there is always only 0.0V and the number does not change while flying. L.G clash fpv

answer as always, to increase flight time you have to decrease amp draw, you can do that by using lighter props, , less agressive pitch on the props, less disc area, less blades, make your quad lighter, choose and compine as many as you want, try HQ5x4x3 or HQ5x4.3x3 if you want more speed, you should get around 3-4 Minutes out if that if your flying fast

What happened to the Eachine 180 tilt rotor no one could ever figure out how to fly the thing now its nearly impossible to get parts Im having 1000 foot pads made which is where the carbon fiber would break when it crashed but its super awesome to have a ROCKET with brakes! WIsh some folks would push it instead of giving up on a great idea.

I started with turnigy 1800mah 20c, 60c wouldve been better. start with that, then maybe go to tattu 4s 75 c 1300mah. That's what i have now, roughly 6 minute flight times (running hard, 4 minutes), and thats on kingkong 5045's's Have fun!

Cool video. im trying to choose between this new 5S wizard and a custom build. I know a custom build will be better quality overall but maybe an ARF quad would be better for my first quad. I noticed you had the top plate at the top of your FPV feed, on the first flight with different props.. Is there any way to avoid this with a 30' camera angle ?

Please tell me more problems that it has. You said it eats batteries very fast. Is there any way to maximise flight time on this ? or is it just too heavy ? Also I saw in another video that said the VTX is upside down as well as under the strap. Is that true ? Also I saw that the props that come with actually hit the top plate. Did you find this on your model ?

+DawntreaderUK That isn't the top plate. That is the HD camera mount. For the full speed tests I think I will have to take it off. But with a 1300 battery you can move it back a little more and get a better angle.

But they are not great so I recommend changing props anyway. The VTX is fine. Make sure you Subscribe and you'll see my solution for that on Friday. :-)

+Roto Vicious the VTX seems fine. Biggest issue is getting is set inside the Wizard frame. But if you are going to move it it would probably be fine. Depending on where you are just watch the channels. Some of them shipped supporting channels that are not legal everywhere.

Be careful with the RacerStar 5048's. I've had 2 snap on me mid-flight with no crashes. Very frustrating. They flew well at first but then....boom!!

You know, I just had to go to check because I wasn't sure. No mine were the V1's which could have been why. I stopped using them after the second broke as I was entering a power loop. My quad ended up landing upside down in a street. I was not very happy at all. None of the props showed any stress lines or anything.... just two of the blades on two different props decided to take off. I'm flying a Martian II with RacerStar 2205s and a 1500 battery so I'd imagine similar weight to the Wizzard. I'm going to pick up some Cyclones and see how they work.

Hi, thanks for replying. Have you suffered any other quality issues with this quad? Ive seen some reviews where soldering looked sketchy, most already know about the motors flying off and Banggood has mentioned on their site to re tighten them. RCModelreviews has been particularly harsh on reviewing the X220S but I don't know if its a isolated incident. I was thinking of getting the X220s, or the Fuutoon 200, or a custom Armattan Chameleon for a little bit more. Any suggestions?

Ah, I think you are confusing the models. The older Wizard X220 did not have an OSD. But this newer X220S does have a built in OSD.

The props also flex and come in contact with top plate, big no-no boo-boo con. And technically the boards VTX, and wiring / soldering joints are not designed for 5S too much heat you'll eventually have something fry/melt. There's no need for 5S just a marketing lobbying job among hobby designers to start a flux of 5S buying. 4S is plenty enough he'll 3S on just the x220 original was crazy.

+Andrew Blanche no, there is no need. But people are going to do it anyway. I few 3S for the last 10 years, there was no need for 4S. Only a few crazy people used 4S 3 years ago. But now it's completely standard. People always want more power. Having said that I agree this is really a 4S flier and that is where I will be doing most of my testing.

Iv read multiple test on props cuz I'm a number guy and the reg square end del props Paramore efficient and have more thrust then most others Def better then the ones with the little fancy hook on the end that's jest a marketing scam and are way less trust and hard on batterys.

Don't buy the F200. The CF sucks) 301g w/o lipo. Can mount lipo or GoPro on top. Can point VTX back and down. $154 with Fuuton motors before FPV gear.
