What a cool 3cyl engine. I did not know that 3d printing had advanced so much. Love the content.

I am curious to see how these polymer parts perform in the long run, seeing as they'd mostly operate under high temps and pressure.

Well long run does not really exist for UAVs, these engines have a typical lifespan below 100 hours. But also bear in mind that your car has many polymer (polyamid) intake, oil, fuel, ... components just like this one has the intake; except this one is 3D printed.

Is this a 2 or 4-stroke engine? What's the displacement of this little beast?
@KToMmi2 жыл бұрын
Judging by the absolute lack of a camshaft (the heads aren't shaped to host one, plus there is literally no shaft going from a cylinder to another) and the reed valve he mentioned, this is definitely a 2-stroke TPI engine.

Remote control aircraft - not a new thing. Anything left that hasn't been tried in the last 40y?

Ones that are better networked, do more things, are easier to use, and cost less are the new thing. Literally everything. Sure decoys have been used great, but pocket reapers only cost 1000 dollars now
