-I wanted this one real bad. All Reviews say its Awsome, so i ordered it 2 1/2 months ago from GearBest.com. I was so excited, i even paid another 12 dollars for faster shipping. Should be delivered in 3 to 5 days. The begining of Summer has turned to Fall. I still want the drone, not a refund. so i wait till this morning when they said they canceled my order n gave me a full refund. WHAT? Thanx Gearbest! Now i get the item i didnt want and dont get the shark drone that i waited all summer for. Wow! this cant be fixed with points and a refund. Maybe ill try to buy it again after Christmas from another site. So disapointed

It can fly a much high altitude, the altitude limits gets on, when the battery is low, its already flashing the lights, which is a sign of low battery. Try it with a full battery it will go much higher.

flips will not work if the battery is low. Also I have noticed that the drone tends to limit the altitude if the battery is low as well

Hmmm... TBH, the height limiting is a good thing. "the limit will frustrate people like me"- perhaps, but people like you do know what they are doing. The target market for this device (no insult meant people) are people joining the hobby hence not experienced, prone to screw-ups. I own a Mavic and "know" how to fly it, yet still I have the distance and altitude limit on, just in case. I think this one is a well rounded up cheap quad for beginners; the only improvement I see to make it an interesting one is to replace the cam to a 5mp or sorts (the price for a runcam is about 30 for the consumers, so it would´t be that much of a ready to sell product replacing the sensor of this one, and people SURELY would consider it worth buying). And the phone app is a bit meh, but all in all, nice device! Thank you as always!

Yes I do agree, it's sensible because those that buy this probably can't fly, yet...but it is very limiting to people like me that love flying, can fly competently but can't enjoy this one to the maximum! 😆

From memory, it depends on how you initiate recording. You do it from the app then it records to the phone I think, I can't recall precisely.

When you have an sd card in the slot you can take pictures and video without connecting your phone... use the round buttons on the right ..top one for photo and the bottom one for video.... I have the same model and there is no hight limit ... but when I get up too high I lose contact and as a warning the light will blink faster ..

My first drone was almost like that.The RC Drone 8807 if you are familiar.It has 3 rates too.The difference is that visuo is more flight time.And last is the rc drone does flips.😂👌

2 things. do you know for certain it actually does fly for 20mins, as you didn't fly it for that long and also said you didn't charge the battery, maybe you know if others have confirmed time. Also does drone just fall out of sky if it loses signal, that seemed to be so but you didn't care?

Yes the flight time is accurate but these batteries take quite some time to charge fully and I didn't leave them for long enough prior to filming the review. When you lose signal they will drop to the ground, but you'll be keeping the drone in LOS when flying and so that shouldn't be an issue. It's a great drone, my other error was the altitude limit which only seems to be the case when the battery is low and the lights are flashing on the drone.

Both the Flight controller board in the drone and the transmitter board in the remote are new updated versions...distance and camera are the same...

You didn't try the return button, that's the number one problem that those ships drone have, for most of them the return button doesn't work and that's a really great point that you should not miss and your future video because these a lot of people who lost their drones and they wasn't able to bring it back because they panic and just lost it

In the review I do actually state that these RTH and Headless Modes are pointless on quads without a GPS, they'll never work properly because the drone doesn't have any understanding of location. It is bad marketing by these companies, fradulent almost.

It was my error, I hadn't fully charged the drone before testing it. When the battery is low, it limits altitude and won't flip.

Normally nothing bigger than 16Gb, infact it only shoots 1080p so you'd be best using a smaller card anyway. Thanks for the comment!

That's very odd then, and yours will flip and ascend higher even when connected to the smart-phone at the same time? I wonder if perhaps the altitude is limited only when the smart-phone is connected, to avoid it losing range.

How do you balance the drone on one place? And how do you know the direction to control?

This is all about learning orientation and control, start with the drone flying tail end pointing to you and focus on keeping it in a hover, then try to rotate the drone around you with its nose pointing away, it's hard at first but you'll get used to it.

Unfortunately not, the drone isn't that powerful although it could be worth trying with a higher voltage battery in order to get more power out of it, however you risk blowing the ESCs.

John Pedro Alfonso Rojas yes it can. I've just watched another video where someone used Sellotape to attach a GoPro to the top. Seemed to work fine (though I'm sure there are better connection methods). I've just bought one of these drones so will be trying it out shortly

I don't think you calibrated the Gyros so no flip and no altitude height. I'm afraid you might be stuck in beginners mode.

It doesn't have a beginner's mode, but I have since discovered that the altitude limit and lack of stunts is because the lights were flashing to show low battery, I hadn't charged the battery fully before the review 🤣🤣

The Visuo drones have always been my 'go to' fun drones, they're crash-proof and good fun - forget the camera on this one, apart from for photos to be fair, its just for bashing around and having fun. I might try sticking a 2s in it to see if it'll cater for it, it would make it even more fun!

You're mixing up data connection Vs WiFi frequencies, you'll be fine with connecting to this so long as you have a phone manufactured within the last few years.

Yours didn't do flips because all the lights were flashing indicating low battery voltage and that locks out flipping...Your hand landing wasn't a good test because the motors don't turn off till it senses no more loss in alt telling the "brain" that it has landed and then it turns off the motors, in the real world if you turned off the transmitter in wind it would fly away until it landed and then turn off the motors.

Yes we're aware of all of this, unfortunately this review was rushed and unprepared, hence the partially charged batteries. In terms of the height limit, this is due to the flat battery (flashing lights) as well, a good safety feature to prevent you from going too high when the battery is low. Its still a great drone, we just weren't very well prepared.

Only in R.F. free environments you can get 1 to 2 kms...in the city it is probably more like 500 meters...and virtual sticks suck big time with no tactile feedback.
