I bought the LG B4 OLED 48 inch for 654.00 out the door. 599.99 door buster deal at Best BUY through Monday. I set it up, updated all firmware/software, put it in ISF Expert (Dark space, night) mode. I then NETFLIX streamed Enforcer 3 in UHD 4k and it looks amazing. Every review I have watch said the sound was horrible but in AI sound mode it sounded so spatial and great mid bass I didn't even hook up my 7.1 surround sound yet. Yes this tv is placed in a smaller sized office space but damn it's good for 654.00 dollar. Buy one while they last peeps!

wow. just wow. The fact that we can get a 48" oled tv for around $700 is the truly amazing thing here. Think about how much a 55" oled was 10 years ago, or how the original Sony XEL-1 OLED TV 11" 480i oled was $2500 in 2008. Pay as little as you possible for this tech, it will all be outdated eventually. Also, as some one who's owned an oled tv for 7 plus years now, (have an LG B7 55") over time the brightness decreases.

Got the veterans day sale LG B4 77inch for $1,640. Been 4 days with it hung up and its beautiful. My old tv in Japan was the C2 and sadly couldnt take it with me while moving back to america. The brightness of the B4 is on par with that C2. Very happy with it.

MLA technology should trickle out in more mid tier OLEDs next year so I say the choice is your but I would wait seeing that you have a C2. I bought the LG B4 48 inch with the new processing unit in it yesterday from BEST BUY for $654.00 out the door. Mind you I have a HiSense U8K fully calibrated 55inch QD mini dot LED tv that is excellent but the LG B4 is my first OLED and it blew me away watching 4K UHD movies....

Connor, Flatpanelshd just posted an article on a TCL CSOT 4k 27" IJP prototype. Probably the same prototype they've shown at CES the past 3 years or so that you covered before. The difference this time is though, is that they've actually started mass production on a smaller 21.6" 4k panel for medical use this year. This bodes well for the 27" panel being produced next year most likely. This could be an interesting option in the monitor space cuz RGB stripe pixel layout and better ambient light handling than QD-Oled. Sadly, they're still quoting a 120hz refresh and 250 nits fullscreen with 600 nits 10%. On the bright side though ABL will probably be better than QD-Oled but it won't have super bright specular highlights like MLA W-Oled.

OLED TVs make for terrible monitors due to the arrangement of the RGB LEDs. The OLED panels used in monitors much be more resilient to burn-in than those used for TVs, otherwise they'd be damaged in a couple of months.

iPad tandem OLED is putting out 1000 nits full screen sustained. When will we have a tandem oled TV? It's not just about blinding brightness. It's about accuracy. I just had a look at the iPad today and that thing got the picture right on HDR movies like I've never seen it before, with no noticeable ABL so the perfect blacks can actually deliver a natural and excellent look. I could look to my left and see an OLED TV doing it's ABL thing, reducing brightness on parts of the screen as needed to protect itself. How people can look past that is beyond me. To my eye, OLED TVs are providing some of the most annoying an unpleasant viewing experience I've ever seen. Dynamically adjusting contrast on parts of the picture during a movie? Seriously??? Perfect blacks can't make up for that.
