One thing to understand about manufacturing is tolerances. This rack was rated at 800 lbs because it was built in an unprecise manner, meaning the quality varies wildly from unit to unit, but with the minimum capacity of 800lbs. And even then they try to factor in a large enough buffer that the actual minimum is 10% more. You might get lucky and buy one that can easily hold 1000+ or you might get unlucky and your rack fails at 780.

I'm surprised with some of the negative reviews. I was so impressed with the kzbin.infoUgkxMwYg0MOXR4M-oGeyBsNSYe1aPOUoRH6D cage that I got the lat pulldown attachment that goes with it. It is equally outstanding. I don't have one complaint other than putting it together is a job. The instructions and packaging of the parts are very well designed and organized. Also, I stripped and damaged the pull down cable the first day, admitting it was my stupid fault, and they quickly replaced it at no charge. I'm 6'5, 280lbs and fit in the cage just fine. Glenn B

Not really. This survived a 700 LB drop one (1) time. Can it handle a second? Third? Fourth? Other more expensive racks are intended for public gym use where people are going to test their limits - and the limits of the equipment. People working out by themselves or with just a buddy hanging about are probably going to be significantly more conservative in the amount of weight they push and the risks they take. I won't even push my limits in the public gym without my workout partner around. Much less a home setup with no one around if a lift goes sour.

@@cavalieroutdoors6036 well if your failing your back squats with 700 pounds and dropping it from the top multiple times then you may need a bette rack, but if you fail it like a normal person there should be a drop if maybe a centimeter which I think this rack could withstand 100s of times without bending

Now exotic pet supply companies sell "reptile heat lights" (old school incandescent flood bulbs that get hot) for 4× what they cost at a hardware store lmao but put jungle print packaging & a picture of a boa on a $10 floodlight and BAM! $40 "reptile light" 🤡 It's all about basic psychology 👍 Sidenote: If you want to truly never see the world the same again (or get ripped off) look up the *psychology/science* that goes into building casinos 💯😭

@@russellplouffe2863 I don't think every bar would bend that way. But the safeties definitely would be stiffer than just about any bar made. Glad to see this. I picked up a 4th squat rack for my training studio during the pandemic and grabbed one of these for cheap. I was planning to eventually sell it and upgrade.. BUT - this thing is great for a lot of the women and beginners that I train. I'll open it up more now that I've seen this. I actually really like using the front of the safeties for barbell floor presses or RDLs without having to move the mini-J-Hooks back and forth. I might modify it so I can floor-mount it, but besides that, it ain't bad for the price.

I HAVE THIS RACK!! it's by Fitness Reality. I saw your first review on this rack, and was waiting for this video. Wasn't disappointed at all,for the money, it"s a great little power rack, especially if you're just a regular guy lifting regular weight. It is a wee bit shorter than you would like, but I put mine on 2-6x6 posts and drilled them in and it really helps with the height and stability. I also bought the optional posts for your plates and installed them low on the front uprights, which also helps with stability. i keep my 100# plates (awesome i know) and my 35's( yup got them too;)) on there and haven't had any issues with it shifting when i use bands and such. Im from nj so out shut downs have been the worse in the country so I wasn't going to just stop training. Im continually impressed with this rack for sure any beginner or intermediate lifter will be fine with this.

I was actually discussing with my friends about this rack's safety due to it's cheapness and frail appearance. But after this video i'm definitley buy it, the company should sponsor this video coz i'm def buying it now thanks to you

I've had this rack for almost a year now and love it, not the best but it gets the job done really well considering the price. Happy it survived the dreaded drop test of doom. Lol

Damn you Coop... I bought everything from rogue (plates, bar, collars, plate storage, etc) and was using another cheap amazon rack in the meantime while I decided what Rogue Power Rack to get...but now I am looking at spending 4-5x the amount just because "it looks nice" lol

This is a low bar, on the other side (much lower than this cheap-o amazon rack would ever allow ;-) ... I still like the Loki-figure, they hired a true actor for this role, makes a world of a difference...

Coop is crazy using Eleiko plates, collars are great, and the grand prize goes to Sam for all the different angles, slow-motion and editing!!! Nice job Sam!! Second place to the budget friendly Amazon Rack.

I think where the expensive racks make a difference is in not toppling or crumpling as easily from non vertical or uneven forces. But that is impressive. More than adequate protection for avg person who uses the rack sensibly
