Dropping Out Of High School For Me | Xyra Sace | TEDxHKPolyU

At 17, Xyra took the risk of dropping out of High School to stand against the education system and pursue her found passion in Entrepreneurship. She later became the Marketing Manager of an Educational Technology company, BSD. She leads Marketing in Asia and will take on the leadership of marketing internationally. She also teaches code on weekends in a programme initiated by The Women’s Foundation with BSD “Girls Go Tech”. On top of her full-time job, Xyra simultaneously freelances for 5 other companies to build her knowledge, experience, and skills in Marketing, Graphic Design, Website Development and Design. Xyra was born and raised in Hong Kong. She was distinctly active in participating in Extra Curricular Activities as she faced academic adversity with the Education System. Inspired by Sir Ken Robinson from his TED talks, Xyra is determined to make a difference in how we teach and grow our youths.

Find what you love and do it. Don't do what is practical or will make you financially well off. You can be rich and absolutely miserable. I'd rather be poor and happy.

Go to school, get good grades, get into college, secure a job. OK I did 3 of the above still waiting on number 4. Degree does not guarantee a job. Education, college, and the 'traditional' way is a way to success. Notice I said 'a way' not THE way. There are so many other paths. If you have a passion for something that is offered in a college go for it. If that is your passion do it. However it is not the path for everyone.

im debating, Im currently a Sophomore and I know what I want to do in my future, my plan is be a mechanic and sometime in the future possibly own my own shop. Ive been planning on just doing online school to finish because traditional school has been very difficult for me and i know to be a mechanic i need atleast my GED or High School diploma.

Don't do that life would become more aimless no productivity felt desperately to do amazing things even you cant do your procrastinating and aimless life would lead nothing..there's no such things this is not an America or China this is a india where 40 million youth are desperate for respecting job..
