DROUGHT [2024]

As the Malaysian heat poured into the room and the whirling of the fan softly rattles the walls, my dark polluted eyes open as my ears are violated by the sound of my alarm. My sore legs escape the blanket and makes contact with the warm floor, my eyes painfully adjusting to the brightness and my hands reaching out to stop the alarm. Echoes of the alarm finally settles down when my fingers blindly fiddle with the switch.
Silence dominates the room and my thoughts start to talk, unlike the usual messiness, only one thought stood out; today will thankfully be my last day on this planet. Then excitement fills me.
Cold water splashes against his face he rinses himself making his consciousness rapidly open up and yet only that thought remained in my head.
As I got ready and headed downstairs, the noose greeted me, and for once I smiled at it back. Memories of the past year started pouring in, feeling new yet somewhat distant at the same time, everything was going well at first, I invested in her crypto currency and my money gets tripled and at times even more than that. In the end, I was just another cog in her well-constructed wheel of lies and debauchery, as the cog turns rusty it is simply disregarded as an expired item.
After getting everything taken away from me, what else can I do, I literally have nothing, everything that I built up over the years just vanished instantly.
Ha, at least it ends today.
